Johansson, Madelene, Ekdahl, Sofia January 2022 (has links)

Fritidslärares förhållning till bildskapande aktiviteter / Leisure teachers' relationship to image-creating activities

Jidåker, Moa, Eriksson, Linda January 2020 (has links)

Svart Sol

Fager Myrholm, Nikki January 2019 (has links)

Det offentliga rummets betydelse för bildundervisningen / The Importance of Public Space for Visual Arts Education

Jonusas, Amanda January 2021 (has links)

Jonsson, Klara January 2023 (has links)
This article examines visual storytelling and how visual artefacts could be used to communicate a specific message to several different interactors. Often when a person analyzes an image, the person's analysis is affected by her previous experiences, what is currently relevant in her everyday life and what associations the person has to different colors and objects in the image. This type of analysis commonly results in many different narratives of one and the same image. This article investigates the opposite, the goal is to create several similar analyses/interpretations of the same image, in this case the narrative of a children’s book. To investigate this, an artefact was created in the form of a children's book. The purpose of the book is to test different theories in visual storytelling with focus on visual communication, environment construction within illustration and character design. To test the theories, I have chosen to remove all text in the book, this resulted in a children's book without text where the interactive part, instead of reading would be image interpretation. The design is tested using personal tests in the form of interviews, I asked children aged 3-6 years old to interpret the design and come up with their own story for the illustrations in the book to see if they interpreted the book "correctly".

Aboriginal Identity and Art Practices : Examining the Cultural Connection of Female Contemporary Aboriginal Artists and its Artistic Expression

Do, JiEun January 2023 (has links)
The Aboriginal art market has received significantly increased interest from non-Aboriginal audiences, but Aboriginal identity and art are still not understood by non-Aboriginal people. The colonial impacts continue challenging the evolving Aboriginal identity and art practices in navigating its intersecting factors. Through interview case studies and data collection, this study aims to understand the contemporary female Aboriginal artists’ identity and how that reflects in their art. It investigates the changes in Aboriginal art in material, concept and sustainability while examining the perspective of younger generations on these changes. The findings reveal that Aboriginal identity has evolved into a diverse and complex construct influenced by politics, race, gender, class, etc. With cultural disconnection due to colonisation and increasing urban migration, contemporary Aboriginal art has evolved into a hybrid form of Western and Aboriginal art. The findings show that material use, concept and sustainability in Aboriginal art have changed significantly, and the younger generations are happy with more diverse and innovative art practices yet concerned about the continuation of the lack of Aboriginal heritage recognition. This thesis is an interdisciplinary study in the fields of heritage studies, post-colonial studies and art history. It highlights the multifaceted Aboriginal identity and art by showing the limitless dynamic of contemporary Aboriginal art practices. It discusses the importance of better understanding among non-Aboriginal people. The study contributes to amplifying the voices of the young generation of female contemporary Aboriginal artists and their goal of reaching a bigger audience to share and teach their heritage.

Stalking the Zone of Sentience : A Journey with Glass

Davida, Mira January 2023 (has links)
In this writing, I guide the reader through different aspects of the emotional understanding and experiencing of art. The general purpose of the research is to argue that aesthetic experience is intertwined with various emotional stages. I attempt to decipher the meaning of an imagined or recreated nature (landscape and creatures) by other artists and then focus on my own realizations in creating it. To undertake this challenge, I aspire to understand the unconscious emotional connections of nature to humans, as well as the related notions of the uncanny and the corporeal. The methodology of the research is partly by finding evidence from the discipline of psychology and phenomenology, partly introspective and also process-based (technical) by focusing on the discipline of glass making. The paper’s main conclusions are embedded in my final work, which serve as an illustration as well as qualities of a craft-based research.

Examining the role of soundscapes for player experience : A Case Study of Darkwood

Aziminejad, Sam, Agfemalm, Alexander January 2023 (has links)
This study is about audio design in horror games, by looking at the horror game Darkwood. Its goal is to answer the questions on how the soundscape of Darkwood affects player experience, what sounds Darkwood utilizes, and what emotional registers it evokes. This study’s goal is to figure out the methods of horror soundscapes to be useful for followingattempts at making horror-themed soundscapes by future game developers. The research wasconducted by having five participants play the introductory section of Darkwood, theparticipants would be interviewed afterward with questions regarding the game and horror ingeneral. The gathered data would be analyzed mainly by using the Two Factor Theory of Emotion by Schachter and Singer. The study found that the audio of Darkwood had an impacton the participants’ experience, with players visibly growing uncomfortable by the tense ambiance, but it also discovered that visuals played a large part in it too, thus it recommends future experiments with greater scale and more precise tools for measuring emotional reactions derived from sound.

Jag klippte luggen som Mia Wallace

Östlund, Klara January 2023 (has links)
"Jag klippte luggen som Mia Wallace" is a portrayal and exploration of memories from my late teenage years. I felt strong emotions during that time without knowing where they came from. As an 18-year-old, I wanted to be seen as sexy and cool, fit into a social group, and create my identity as a young woman. That time of my life fascinates me. My degree project consists of a film with fragments of memories that play in a loop. I have worked in stop-motion animation, focusing on the expression that the soft clay gives my character. In parallel, I have, in my writing, connected these fragments to gender studies. This has helped me gain a better understanding of my 18-year-old self.
