741	Regionalidade e tradução em Aventuras de Tom Sawyer, de Monteiro Lobato Soppelsa, Fernanda Bondam 17 August 2015 (has links) Mark Twain, renomado autor realista e local colorist, é conhecido pelo seu estilo coloquial de escrever. A modalidade oral regional da língua inglesa é representada na fala dos personagens do romance The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (Aventuras de Tom Sawyer). Nesta dissertação, é feita uma análise comparativa entre alguns trechos da obra original de Mark Twain, publicada em 1876, e da tradução feita por Monteiro Lobato, em 1934. A partir dos conceitos de regionalidade apresentados por Arendt (2012) e Stüben (2013), o objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar as especificidades culturais da obra original e verificar de que forma o tradutor, Lobato, as transpõe para o texto da língua-meta, o português brasileiro. Além disso, a partir da análise dos trechos selecionados, são identificadas as técnicas tradutórias utilizadas por Monteiro Lobato, com base nas propostas de Vinay e Dalbernet (1971), Barbosa (1990) e Hurtado Albir (2001). Duas línguas nunca serão suficientemente iguais para serem consideradas representativas de uma mesma realidade cultural, sendo possível analisar se há perdas e ganhos na tradução, como corrobora Bassnett (2005). He represents the regional oral modality of the English language in the speech of the characters in the novel The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (Aventuras de Tom Sawyer). This master’s thesis aims at comparatively analyzing parts of the original work by Mark Twain, published in 1876, and the translation made by Monteiro Lobato, from 1934. Using the concepts of regionality from Arendt (2012) and Stüben (2013), the objective of this research is to analyze the cultural characteristics of the original novel and verify how the translator, Lobato, transposes the text to the target language, Brazilian Portuguese. In addition, the translational techniques used by Monteiro Lobato are identified, based on the proposals by Vinay and Dalbernet (1971), Barbosa (1990) and Hurtado Albir (2001). Two languages are never enough alike to be considered representative of the same cultural reality, so it is possible to analyze whether there are losses and gains in translation, as confirmed by Bassnett (2005). Following the ideas systematized by Venuti (1995), this work analyzes to what extend the selected translation is a domestication or keeps the cultural elements from the original novel. 742	Konflikten i Antiochia : - en jämförande analys mellan ”Nya perspektivet på Paulus” och ”Paulus inom judendomen” Mattsson, Henrik January 2017 (has links) I denna uppsats har jag studerat Konflikten i Antiochia, utifrån två aktuella perspektiv på Paulus - ”Nya Perspektivet på Paulus” och ”Paulus inom judendomen”. Syftet har varit att definiera och klarlägga den huvudsakliga innebörden i de två respektive perspektiven samt att utifrån den förståelsen göra en jämförande analys med hjälp av den valda perikopen. Jag har också sökt analysera vilka konsekvenser perspektiven kan få för vår förståelse av Paulus. För att avgränsa uppgiften har jag utgått från ett urval av forskare inom respektive perspektiv. Dessa är för NPP: E. P. Sanders, James D. G. Dunn och N.T. Wright. För PIJ har jag främst utgått från material av Mark Nanos och Magnus Zetterholm. För att kunna göra perspektiven rättvisa presenterar jag också en kort beskrivning av det ”Traditionella Perspektivet på Paulus” eftersom det är det perspektiv som i lite varierande form har varit det dominerande genom historien. Jag har också gjort några förhoppningsvis förtydligande utvikningar kring hur det gick till när judendom och kristendom skiljdes åt samt ett kort avsnitt kring begreppet bordsgemenskap. Slutsatsen i uppsatsen är att perspektiven förvisso skiljer sig åt på flera punkter men att de till övervägande del ligger nära varandra. Detta är särskilt tydligt vad gäller de vetenskapliga drivkrafterna och metoderna som respektive perspektiv använder sig av. Attention is focused especially on the territory of Mesopotamia, which is the center of all actions of neighboring states and the interests of the great powers. The thesis also includes the events of the war and the subsequent diplomatic negotiations held mostly at the Paris Peace Conference. Everything is viewed mainly from the perspective of British Empire and it's leaders. The finall goal of the work is to anchor the British mandates in the geographical area of the Middle East to the Ankara Agreement.
744	The American Eve: Gender, Tragedy, and the American Dream Long, Kim Martin 05 1900 (has links) America has adopted as its own the Eden myth, which has provided the mythology of the American dream. This New Garden of America, consequently, has been a masculine garden because of its dependence on the myth of the Fall. Implied in the American dream is the idea of a garden without Eve, or at least without Eve's sin, traditionally associated with sexuality. Our canonical literature has reflected these attitudes of devaluing feminine power or making it a negative force: The Scarlet Letter, Moby-Dick, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Great Gatsby, and The Sound and the Fury. To recreate the Garden myth, Americans have had to reimagine Eve as the idealized virgin, earth mother and life-giver, or as Adam's loyal helpmeet, the silent figurehead. But Eve resists her new roles: Hester Prynne embellishes her scarlet letter and does not leave Boston; the feminine forces in Moby-Dick defeat the monomaniacal masculinity of Ahab; Miss Watson, the Widow Douglas, and Aunt Sally's threat of civilization chase Huck off to the territory despite the beckoning of the feminine river; Daisy retreats unscathed into her "white palace" after Gatsby's death; and Caddy tours Europe on the arm of a Nazi officer long after Quentin's suicide, Benjy's betrayal, and Jason's condemnation. Each of these male writers--Hawthorne, Melville, Twain, Fitzgerald, and Faulkner--deals with the American dream differently; however, in each case the dream fails because Eve will not go away, refusing to be the Other, the scapegoat, or the muse to man's dreams. These works all deal in some way with the notion of the masculine American dream of perfection in the Garden at the expense of a fully realized feminine presence. S. Bach. Mit Hilfe eines interdisziplinären und intermedialen Ansatzes soll der Frage nachgegangen werden, welche Bedeutung er als Erzählfigur für das Werk allgemein und für den Rezipienten im Besonderen hat. Wie wichtig sein Erzählbewusstsein im Hinblick auf ein zunehmend medialisiertes und säkularisiertes Publikum ist, soll dabei ebenso beleuchtet werden, wie die Kraft seiner Performativität - sein Potential als theatrale Figur. Der Blick auf eine aktuelle Inszenierung, in diesem Fall die gestreamte Fassung der Johannes-Passion von Peter Sellars in Zusammenarbeit mit den Berliner Philharmonikern aus dem Jahr 2019 sowie den Libretto-Text des Evangelisten ermöglicht das Untersuchen von Erzählweise, Kommunikationsstrategie und Spielart dieser spannenden und komplexen ErzählerFigur. S. Bach. With the help of an interdisciplinary and intermedial approach, the question to be investigated is: which meaning does he have as a narrative figure for the work in general and for the recipient in particular? How important his narrative consciousness is in view of an increasingly medialized and secularized audience should also be illuminated, as well as the power of his performativity - his potential as a theatrical character. The look at a current production, in this case the streamed version of the St. John Passion from Peter Sellars in collaboration with the Berlin Philharmonic from 2019 as well as the libretto of the Evangelist, enables the exploration of narrative style, communication strategy and way of acting of this exciting and complex narrator figure. The focus on the epic moment and the structural/dramaturgical meaning of the Evangelist is deliberately chosen, because I deem them relevant to the practical mediation and presentation of the Evangelist. 747	Vad visar den plan som säger mer än tusen ord? : Illustrationsplanens betydelse utifrån tydlighetskravet i Plan- och Bygglagen Söder, Tove, Eliasson, Erika January 2021 (has links) Studien syftar till att undersöka illustrationsplaners betydelse som ett förtydligande dokument till detaljplanen, samt i vilken utsträckning illustrationsplaner uppfyller tydlighetskravet i 4 kap 32 och 33 § § Plan- och bygglagen (PBL). Studien har framtagits med avsikt att uppmärksamma en problematik vars effekter kan påverka det faktiska medborgarinflytandet. En brist på forskning har observerats inom ämnet och studien avser därför bidra till att fylla den kunskapsluckan i samhällsplaneringen. Tydlighetskravet innebär att detaljplanens regleringar tydligt ska redovisas för att säkerställa medborgarnas förståelse för planens innebörd och konsekvenser. I avsikt att uppnå tydlighetskravet används ofta illustrationsplaner som kommunikationsverktyg för att förmedla detaljplanens syfte och planbestämmelser till allmänheten. Detta beror på att detaljplanen ofta kan upplevas svårtydd eftersom detaljplankartans utformning tydligt skiljer sig från hur kartor brukar illustreras i andra sammanhang. Genom kvalitativ innehållsanalys ämnar undersökningen besvara i vilken utsträckning illustrationsplaner uppfyller tydlighetskravet i PBL. Vid undersökningen jämfördes detaljplanekarta och planbestämmelser med tillhörande illustrationsplan för att gradera hur tydliga illustrationsplaner är. Detta genomfördes genom ett antal uppställda påståenden som illustrationsplanen kunde svara mot. Påståendena baseras bland annat på tidigare domslut kring illustrationer samt semiotikens syn på hur bilder kan tolkas. Undersökningen kompletterades med ett antal intervjuer från branschkunniga personer, detta för att få en mer kvalitativ och djupgående förståelse för resultatet samt illustrationsplaners betydelse som kommunikativt verktyg. Undersökningens resultat visar på en bristfällighet hos de undersökta illustrationsplanerna vad gäller tydlighet. Svårtolkade illustrationsplaner försvårar medborgarens möjligheter att uppfatta detaljplanens konsekvenser och deras möjlighet att lämna relevanta synpunkter under planprocessen minskar därmed ytterligare. Denna syn på illustrationsplanens potentiella konsekvenser delades med de personer som intervjuades i samband med studien. Med undersökningen och intervjuerna som grund har ett antal ställningstaganden och förslag sammanställts som anses inneha praktisk relevans för samhällsplaneringen. Ett exempel på detta är att en mer gedigen vägledning bör tas fram, till förmån för en nationellt enhetligare användning av illustrationer. Vägledningen hade kunnat utformas på olika sätt, bland annat genom att bristfälliga planer sammanställs för att påvisa vilka konsekvenser som kan följa av en otydlig illustrationsplan. 748	The Sublime as an Aesthetic Experience of Art : The Aesthetic Experience of Mark Rothko's Abstract Paintings Haviland, Vendela January 2022 (has links) The following work investigates the nature of the aesthetic experience of the abstract expressionist paintings of Mark Rothko. I suggest that the aesthetic experience in relation to his paintings best is understood in terms of the sublime. To support my position, I discuss the impact of abstraction in comparison to figuration in art on our aesthetic experience. Abstraction in art, I suggest, provides the basis for an aesthetic experience where the viewer can enjoy the visual features and composition free from connecting any depicted imagery to our physical world. This, I hold, provides the basis for a unique type of aesthetic experience. Further, I suggest that the visual complexity in the abstract paintings of Mark Rothko, as well as the aesthetic appeal of his artworks, provides a sense of great magnitude and depth whilst captivating our aesthetic attention. The notion of abstraction allows our minds to never reach a final conclusion as to what type of object we are perceiving. The artistically refined manner in which the artworks are presented captivates our aesthetic attention, allowing us to fully perceptually engage in the limitless sense of depth and visual complexity of his paintings. This, I suggest, provides an encounter in which we through means of perception encounter the idea of a complete form of which magnitude we can never fully comprehend. I argue that this suggests that the aesthetic experience of the abstract expressionist paintings of Mark Rothko best is understood as that of the sublime. A number of primary sources present a very negative view of Antony under the influence of various political persuasions, and this will be compared and contrasted with later ancient views. Firstly I discuss the position before the implementation of section 2(3). Thereafter I discuss the recommendations of the law commission. Then I discuss the implementation of section 2(3) which empowers the court to legalise a document which does not comply with the formal requirements of a will. The specific problem areas with regard to the interpretation of section 2(3) are highlighted and discussed in detail. Thereafter a recommendation is made that a signature or a mark on a testamentary writing must be a prerequisite before a court can consider condoning it.
