This literature, study object of this research, is presented as one of the richest expressions of popular culture. So being to be able to contextualize the teaching situations in the lessons of Geography and related disciplines. By bringing scientific knowledge of popular knowledge, the Cordel makes a bridge between academic knowledge and school knowledge. Geography presents to school, today, as a dynamic science and, therefore, bulit in space designed and lived. Assuming that poet of Cordel, here characterized as cordelista, expressed in its produccion characteristics of a knowledge bulit on cultural experiences and everyday, witch reveals the concepts of sociocultural reallity of particular place. The Northeast region, was defined as a spatial area of this research, as we seek to identify through a literature review and field research, the geographic content contained in these, they could effectively characterize this region in geography lessons. The character educational and informational contained in the cordeis can become a teaching resource and methodological able to facilitate the teaching-learning in basic education. This is already having is value recognized in higher education. However, with few exceptions, the basic education that is still largely untapped. To formulate the theoretical and methodological route of work that present, we try to show, the relationship between culture, popular and scientific knowledge, perspectives addressing the Critical an Cultural Geography and provoking a dialogue between the Academic and School Geographies. Seeking to highlight the potential of Cordel, we draw a historical and cultural panorama in Brazil and the Northeast of it. Making a correlation between it and informal education. Concluding our research process, we analyze some cordeis, trying to identify the character educational and the geographic contents about Northeast contained in these. We hope that this work can help future studies that aim to increase knowledge about the Cordel and its applicability as methodological-didactic instrument. / Este trabalho tem como objetivo principal, analisar as possibilidades da utilização do cordel como instrumento didático-metodológico no ensino de Geografia. O cordel objeto de estudo da presente pesquisa, apresenta-se como uma das mais ricas manifestações da cultura popular. Assim sendo, capaz de contextualizar as situações didáticas nas aulas de Geografia e disciplinas afins. Ao aproximar o conhecimento científico do conhecimento popular, o cordel faz uma ponte entre o saber acadêmico e o saber escolar. A Geografia apresenta-se para a escola, na atualidade como uma ciência dinâmica e, portanto, construída no espaço concebido e vivido. Partindo do pressuposto de que o poeta de cordel, aqui caracterizado como cordelista, expressa na sua produção características de um conhecimento construído nas experiências culturais e cotidianas, que nos revela as concepções da realidade sociocultural de um determinado lugar. A região Nordeste, foi delimitada como recorte espacial da presente pesquisa, à medida que buscamos identificar através de uma revisão bibliográfica e de uma pesquisa de campo, os conteúdos geográficos nestes contidos, que pudessem, efetivamente, caracterizar essa região nas aulas de Geografia. O caráter educacional e informacional contido nos cordéis pode vir a ser um recurso didático-metodológico capaz de facilitar o processo de ensino-aprendizagem, na educação básica. Este, já vem tendo o seu valor reconhecido no ensino superior. Entretanto, com algumas exceções, na educação básica este ainda é pouco aproveitado. Para formular o percurso teórico-metodológico do trabalho que ora apresentamos, procuramos mostrar a relação entre cultura, saber popular e científico abordando perspectivas da Geografia Crítica e Cultural e provocando um diálogo entre as Geografias Acadêmica e Escolar. Buscando evidenciar as potencialidades do cordel, traçamos um panorama histórico e cultural do mesmo no Brasil e no Nordeste. Fazendo uma correlação entre o mesmo e a educação informal. Concluindo nosso processo de pesquisa, analisamos alguns cordéis, procurando identificar o caráter educacional e os conteúdos geográficos sobre o Nordeste nestes contidos. Esperamos que este trabalho possa, ajudar futuras pesquisas que tenham por objetivo ampliar o conhecimento sobre o cordel e sua aplicabilidade como instrumento didático-metodológico.

The purpose of this work is to questionate the discourse of acquaintance with the Semi-arid which is transmitted by the cordéis and songs aiming to apprehend how they reveal through the ways of saying and doing these discourse enunciate images and conceptions about the Semi-arid, its people and cultural practices as well as which cultural policies it envolves and what historical culture its produces. The data used were the following: the cordéis produced by ASA (Articulação no Semiárido), and the ones produced by INSA (Instituto Nacional do Semiárido) as well as the Belo Sertão CD: The acquaintance with the Semi-arid by means of songs. In this work the contribution from Michel Foucault is used. The results shows that these productions serves as instruments to institutionals discourses based on communication strategies although they do not limits themselves to promotion of acquaintance in the Semi-arid. The results also demonstrate that these discourses reveal complex procedures of social, economic and political exclusions operation that mobilize past, present and future to show interpretation about the Semi-arid its people and cultural practices. It also reveals that the acquaintances‟ discourses enunciate knowledges and practices to be observed. By means of these questions it was determined that the vinvulation of this study is associated with Regional History research and the area of concentration is History and Historical Culture. / A atuação de algumas instituições no Semiárido Brasileiro acompanhou a produção, distribuição e venda de materiais diversos que buscam difundir os enunciados, saberes e dizeres da convivência. O objetivo deste trabalho é interrogar e problematizar os discursos da convivência com o Semiárido que vêm sendo veiculados por meio dos cordéis e da música buscando apreender como se imprimem, através dos modos de dizer e de fazer que esses discursos enunciam, imagens e concepções sobre o Semiárido, seu povo e suas práticas culturais; bem como, a que cultura(s) política(s) servem e qual cultura(s) histórica(s) produzem. Estas são as fontes utilizadas para a problematização do objeto: os cordéis produzidos pela ASA (Articulação no Semiárido), os cordéis produzidos pelo INSA (Instituto Nacional do Semiárido) e o CD Belo Sertão: A convivência com o Semiárido através da música . Trabalhou-se com a Análise do Discurso de linha francesa, a partir das contribuições de Michel Foucault. A pesquisa mostra que essa produção é instrumento que serve a discursos institucionais específicos assentados sob estratégias de comunicação, embora a elas não se reduza, com vistas à promoção da convivência com o Semiárido e à autopromoção dessas instituições enquanto viabilizadoras dessa convivência; mostra que os discursos da convivência engendram complexas operações de construção/afirmação de uma identidade para o Semiárido que revelam determinados procedimentos de exclusão e que são social, econômica, política e culturalmente úteis operações que mobilizam passado, presente e futuro para conformar interpretações sobre o Semiárido, seu povo e suas práticas culturais; mostra ainda que os discursos da convivência enunciam saberes e práticas, para serem observados e por meio dos quais os indivíduos devem orientar suas ações e pensamentos - regras que inclusive estabelecem do que o olhar deve se desviar em favor da convivência. Assumes that man is sensitive with this possibility, adopting terms like inflation, war, global warming, death, fear, punishment, suffering, among many others, that started to compose the lexicon used for the speech into text in figurativizados apocalyptic narratives - manuscripts that are born precisely in times of crisis, despair and suffering. These scriptures analyzed arise when states physical, spiritual and moral of a people are shocked when things show themselves in the world so harmful to man and life on the planet. This research is the examination of a set of voices that point to the religious experience of people of the Northeast and the structuring of messianic myth, from the schemes that (re) arrange the path of the anthropological imagination of the people of Northeast to a contemporary manner society moving towards the ideal of development. The myth of eternal return was studied from a bias current (re)thinking of a timeless theme that has been designed in a unique language A thread was drawn through these voices, reflecting on the playing field and the reactions they elicit the subjects involved, questioning the materiality of language (the composition of the genre / discourse) and the ideologies held by the logo of the times update the media nowadays; that allows the activity of subjects by habits that validate their actions as social practices of discourse. Was observed on leaflets of twine, and other genera examined, one set of voices for a phenomenon that signals a Final Judgment of God associated with the return of the Messiah. It was possible to conceive of memory as a deed of social practices woven through symbols and imagery that performativelydo understand / comprehend the path of human life by signs that idealize a collective history and individual. The analyses was based from theory of multidisciplinary studies Eliade, Cassirer, Lévi-Strauss, Durand, Pitta, Bourdieu, Bhabha, Le Goff, Maingueneau, Marcuschi, Burke, Ginzburg, Ricoeur, Althusser, Bakhtin, Foucault, Pottier, Austin, Benjamin, Barthes, Jung, Capra, Bauman, Derrida, Moita Lopes, Rajagopalan, Chartier, Vygotsky, Saussure and Zumthor. / O objeto deste estudo são os rumores de um provável fim dos tempos. Parte do princípio de que o homem se sensibiliza diante dessa possibilidade, adotando vocábulos como inflação, guerra, aquecimento global, morte, medo, castigo, sofrimento, entre tantos outros, que passam a compor o léxico utilizado para a textualização de discursos figurativizados em narrativas apocalípticas manuscritos que nascem, justamente, em tempos de crise, de desespero e sofrimento. Tais escrituras analisadas surgem quando os estados físico, espiritual e moral de um povo encontram-se abalados, quando as coisas no mundo se mostram prejudiciais ao homem e à vida no planeta. Esta pesquisa parte da apreciação de um conjunto de vozes que apontam para a vivência religiosa do povo nordestino e a estruturação do mito messiânico, a partir dos esquemas que (re)arranjam o trajeto antropológico do imaginário do povo nordestino aos moldes contemporâneos de uma sociedade que caminha rumo ao ideal de desenvolvimento. O mito do eterno retorno foi estudado a partir de um viés atual, (re)pensado enquanto tema atemporal, que vem sendo desenhado numa linguagem própria. Foi traçada uma discussão mediante tais vozes, refletindo-se acerca do campo de ação e as reações que elas suscitam nos sujeitos envolvidos, questiona-se a materialidade linguística (a composição dos gêneros textuais/discursivos) e as ideologias mantidas ao logo dos tempos pela atualização de mídias na contemporaneidade, o que permite a atuação dos sujeitos através de hábitos que validam suas ações enquanto práticas sociais discursivas. Foi verificado nos folhetos de cordel, e em outros gêneros examinados, um conjunto de vozes que sinaliza um Julgamento Final de Deus associado à volta do Messias. Constatou-se a memória como escritura de práticas sociais tecidas através dos símbolos e imaginários que performaticamente fazem compreender o traçado da vida humana mediante signos que idealizam uma história coletiva e individual. Como se dá o funcionamento discursivo do porta-voz nos folhetos nordestinos? Essas foram as duas perguntas que orientaram esta pesquisa de mestrado. Para responder esses questionamentos, selecionamos folhetos que exploram temas como a violência urbana, o uso de drogas, a migração nordestina, a política, o preconceito, o divórcio, o uso de métodos anticoncepcionais e a reforma agrária, entre outros que tratam de questões sociais. Durante a constituição do corpus, pudemos compreender uma forte relação entre o que circula no cordel com o que é veiculado pela mídia. Em nosso percurso analítico, discutimos a reiteração, pelo cordel, de uma voz social que é atravessada, sim, pela voz da mídia, mas também pelas vozes do Estado, da Igreja e da Família. Essa voz social circula pela materialidade poética que constitui o cordel produzindo gestos de interpretação marcados pela poesia da língua. Nossas análises nos mostraram que essa voz é a que legitima certos valores sociais e as relações estabilizadas que são repetidas nos folhetos. Essa voz é a da sociedade dominante, mas se configura, ao ser retomada pelo cordel, como a voz do povo, naturalizando a unidade, como se o povo fosse homogêneo. Equivocidade constitutiva, como nos ensinou Pêcheux! Este efeito de unidade, por sua vez, é o que produz o efeito de que o cordelista é porta-voz do povo. Um efeito discursivo / Abstract: How do social aspects signify and how are they constructed in the poetic materiality of cordel literature? How does the image of the speaker work in the Northeastern booklets? These were the two questions that guided this Master's degree research. To answer these questions, we selected booklets covering subjects such as urban violence, drug use, Northeastern migration, politics, prejudice, divorce, the use of birth control methods and land reform, among other social issues. During the creation of the corpus, we could notice a strong relationship between the subjects dealt with in cordel and what is shown in the media. In the analysis, we discuss the repetition in cordel of a social voice that is crossed by the voice of the media, but also by those of the State, the Church and the Family. This social voice circulates through the poetic materiality that makes up cordel, producing gestures of interpretation marked by the poetry of the language. The analysis shows that this voice is what allows certain social values and the established relationships repeated in the booklets. This is the voice of the ruling society, but, when it is taken over by cordel, it represents the voice of the people, making unity natural, as if the people were homogeneous. Constituting quivocality, as Pêcheux has taught us! This unity effect, in turn, produces the effect that the cordel author is a speaker for the people. The current work is based on the study of the cordel literature in High School classrooms, mainly 9th grader, whose purpose is to subsidize the preparation of subjects and discourses aware of their identity and citizenship. Since contemporary education can no longer live along with the exclusion of popular culture as well as their discursive subjects it is a must that an ever-growing alliance between the teaching-learning process and diversity and cultural identity be utilized so that there will be a decrease in prejudice, not only towards the so called cordel literature , but also the universe that surrounds it. Our methodology consisted of a bibliographical research on history and the formal characteristics of cordel literature; we interviewed three cordel artists from the State of Sergipe two men and one woman so as to make it possible to identify different points of view; we also studied some leaflets under the light of the Discourse Analysis; and finally, we investigated the possibility of its use in classrooms following a pedagogical proposal. In our Conclusion we present our impressions and expectations towards the project s feasibility as our aim in this project was not that of finding flaws in its applicability but to encourage the study of cordel literature in class. / O presente trabalho se constitui em uma proposta de abordagem da literatura de cordel em salas de aula, mais especificamente, nas turmas do 9º ano do Ensino Fundamental, com o intuito de subsidiar a formação de sujeitos e discursos cientes de sua identidade e cidadania. Como a educação contemporânea não pode mais conviver com a exclusão da cultura popular e de seus sujeitos discursivos, torna-se urgente a utilização de um processo de ensino-aprendizagem cada vez mais aliado à diversidade e à identidade cultural, a fim de que haja uma diminuição de preconceitos relativos não só à literatura de cordel como também ao universo que a cerca. A metodologia de trabalho envolveu uma pesquisa bibliográfica em torno da história e das características formais do cordel; entrevista com três cordelistas sergipanos, sendo dois homens e uma mulher, a fim de que fosse possível identificar pontos de vista diferentes; abordagem de alguns folhetos, sob a ótica da Análise do Discurso; e, finalmente, uma proposta pedagógica de aplicação do cordel em sala de aula. Na conclusão, foram expostas as impressões e expectativas acerca da aplicabilidade do projeto, uma vez que a intenção, neste trabalho, não foi a de comprovar os efeitos de sua aplicação, mas sim de incitar o trabalho com a literatura de cordel em sala de aula.

For this we observe the concepts of culture, popular culture, national-popular with a view to analysis, interpretation proposed, considering also the presence of the string as a support for the publication of texts of the theater, in their crosses with the Portuguese and popular literature with emphasis on the emergence of so called literature brochures in Brazilian Northeast. It starts with the assumption that formal aesthetic aspects of this system are components of the texts of the theater in line Lourdes Ramalho, line of organic-making as an intellectual of the lower classes of their socio-cultural-historical insofar as this author formalizes aesthetic issues such as challenging the social situation of women and political neglect, using as a strategy for communication, support/editorial formula of the brochure, as one can observe the analysis and interpretation applied on this work. / Constitui-se da análise-interpretação, considerando aspectos em torno do popular, do nacional-popular e do regional, de quatro folhetos em que se imprimem textos dramatúrgicos em cordel produzidos pela dramaturga Lourdes Ramalho, a saber: Judite Fiapo em Serra Pelada, A Guerreira Joanita Guabiraba, Viagem no Pau-de-Arara e Porque a Noiva botou o Noivo na Justiça, sem datação exata, provavelmente, escritos e publicados no período da ditadura militar no Brasil (entre 1964-1985). Para tanto, observa-se o desenvolvimento dos conceitos de cultura, cultura popular, nacional-popular e regional, com vistas à análiseinterpretação proposta, considerando, ainda, a presença do cordel como suporte para a publicação de textos de teatro, em seus cruzamentos com a literatura popular portuguesa e com ênfase sobre o surgimento da, assim chamada, literatura de folhetos no Nordeste brasileiro. Our proposal of reading intend to contribute for the enlargement of the studies of the cordel not only to analyze the configurations of masculinities present in the corpus delimited for trims to the research: beyond that, weresearch the cordel production that approach the homosexual thematic, since texts of the beginning of the century XX to the outputs found recently in the medias, mainly in the digital medias. So, we start from the problem of the research that would find perceive the linguistic marks found in cordel texts for represent the homosexual subjects. Subsequently, using the theory of the area of the cultural anthropology and of the studies of the communication, of the linguistic as well as the theory and literary critic, we start the construction of corpus analysis. Methodologically, we discuss the cordel news and the configurations of masculinities in that literary genre. The prejudice, the discrimination and the joke are the more recurrent images in the cordel texts that discuss the gay questions, and the authors utilize masks to present thetheme to the reader: behind the defense or funny discuss it s possible to perceive the blackhumor of the narrator that showshomophobic marks, if not as marks of his own point of view, it happens to satisfy the readers in their demands, since the cordel author, in this perspective, foresees a reader that corroborates his speech. / Vários estudos sobre a produção cordelística têm apontado, no Brasil, a construção de visões sobre esse gênero literário que vão desde às parcas pesquisas sobre a forma ou sobre o gênero propriamente dito, envolvendo suas origens e adaptações, até os ciclos temáticos que tanto tem produzido efeito positivo de encantamento entre os seus leitores. A proposta de leitura que apresentamos procurou contribuir para a ampliação dos estudos do cordel no sentido não só de analisar as configurações de masculinidades presentes no corpus delimitado para o recorte da pesquisa: além disso, fizemos um levantamento dos cordéis que abordam a temática homossexual, desde textos do início do século XX até as produções encontradas recentemente nas mídias, principalmente a digital. Dessa forma, partimos do problema da pesquisa que foi procurar perceber as marcas lingüísticas encontradas nos cordéis para representar os sujeitos homossexuais. Posteriormente, a partir de um suporte teórico da área da antropologia cultural e dos estudos da comunicação, da lingüística bem como da teoria e crítica literária, enveredamos pela construção da análise do corpus. Metodologicamente, discutimos o cordel notícia e as configurações de masculinidades nesse gênero literário. O preconceito, a discriminação e a piada são as imagens mais recorrentes nos cordéis que procuram problematizar a questão gay, e seus autores utilizam-se de máscaras para apresentar a questão ao leitor: por trás do discurso de defesa ou de brincadeira, e principalmente deste, percebe-se o humor negro do narrador que deixa antever as marcas homofóbicas, se não como marca de sua visão, pelo menos como forma de atender às demandas dos leitores, uma vez que o cordelista, nesta perspectiva, prevê um leitor que corrobore o seu discurso.

In such context, Cordel Literature, due to its simple and attractive language, seems to show some potential for popularization and public communication of science. In this study we aimed to investigate whether, from the string Cordel Literature, we extract texts with potential for popularization and public communication of science, with particular interest for Physical Science. At that sense, it has been done a documentary research at Cordel Literature collection in the Átila Almeida Library of the Universidade Estadual da Paraíba with the identification and cataloging of cordels which topics approached some issues related to Science. After cataloging, the cordels have been separated by areas of coverage in order to facilitate analysis of those that approached themes of Physics. This research may be considered of qualitative nature with quantitative approaches in which for the analytical description, according to the procedures of the content of messages, it has been utilized the methodology of Thematic-Categorical Content Analysis. Through this research it was possible to identify many cordels that deal with themes of Physics. We believe that material may be used as a link of relationship between science and art, and may be adopted by teachers as support material, before, during and after the classes. / As diferenças entre o discurso científico especializado e ocupado com a pesquisa e o discurso didático orientado para o ensino e a aprendizagem corroboram a importância da linguagem e da literatura nos processos de ensino e comunicação pública das ciências. Em tal contexto, a literatura de cordel, dado a sua linguagem simples e atraente, parece apresentar algum potencial para popularização e comunicação pública da ciência. Nesta pesquisa objetivamos investigar se a partir da literatura de cordel podemos extrair textos com potencial para a popularização e comunicação pública da ciência, com particular interesse pela Física. Neste sentido, foi realizada uma pesquisa documental no acervo de literatura de cordel na biblioteca Átila Almeida da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba com a identificação e catalogação de cordéis cujos títulos abordavam temas relativos à Ciência. Após a catalogação, os cordéis foram separados por áreas de abrangência com o intuito de facilitar a análise daqueles que abordavam temas da Física. Esta pesquisa pode ser considerada de natureza qualitativa com aproximações quantitativas em que para a descrição analítica, segundo procedimentos do conteúdo das mensagens, foi utilizada a metodologia da Análise de Conteúdo Temático-Categorial. Através desse estudo foi possível identificar muitos cordéis que versam sobre temas da Física. Acreditamos que este material possa ser utilizado como vínculo de aproximação entre ciência e arte, podendo ser adotado por professores como material de apoio antes, durante e após as aulas.
