Konstnärens verksamhet i skolan – diskursiva förståelser och legitimeringar / Artist-led activities in schools – discursive understanding and legitimisation

Falk, Ingrid January 2014 (has links)
This investigation focuses on issues that arise when professional artists work in schools as part of a course of study to meet national curriculum programmes of study requirements and cultural education attainment targets. This thesis examines what artists can contribute to schools through their artistic residencies. The data for this study is based on experiences from artistic work with children and young people during artist residencies in schools and colleges. A discourse analytical approach has been used to investigate how different actors describe artists’ work in schools and colleges.Quotes from national and council policy documents on topics related to programmes that involve schools and artists can be found in this study, as well as selected research on aesthetics in schools. This study highlights four discursive suggestions of positions that describe how artists can contribute to knowledge within the realm of schools and colleges. The four discursive suggestions of positions are as follows:1.The artist as a catalyst (eye-opener) for new ways of thinking.2.The artist as a “break in routine”.3.The artist as a specialist. Gives access to new techniques or professional fields.4.The artist as a guide to society.Through describing what artists can contribute in the form of aesthetic knowledge and aesthetic learning processes, the aim of the study is to understand the artists’ professional identity in the educational sphere. The discursive positions one can say legitimises artists’ activities in schools as a complement to regular aesthetic teaching and in the overarching cultural attainment targets in all subject areas. / <p></p><p></p>

Barns estetiska skapande i olika miljöer : En kvalitativ studie om fem förskollärares uppfattningar kring barns estetiska läroprocesser i förskolans olika skapande miljöer

Misirhanova, Mafi January 2017 (has links)
Title: Children's aesthetic creation in different environments - A qualitative study of five preschool teachers 'perceptions of children's aesthetic learning processes in pre-schools' creative environments. Author: Mafi Misirhanova Supervisor: Karin Ehrlén Term: Spring 2017  The purpose of my thesis is to examine how the five pre-school teachers who participate in my study reflect about aesthetic expressions in relation to children's learning in preschool. Furthermore, I want to find out about the thoughts of the educators concerning the role of social interaction and the importance of the environment in the aesthetic creation process. My first question is about what view the informants have on social interaction during aesthetic creation processes. My second question is about how the informants reflect on studio and creative rooms at the selected three preschools. The study is based on qualitative interview methods where five pre-school teachers reflected on their internship. The essay is based on a sociocultural perspective based on development and learning. As far as the informants' views on social interaction during aesthetic creation processes are concerned, my study showed that there is a strong connection between aesthetic learning processes, language learning and social interaction as these areas interact during a creative activity at preschool. The informants' reflection on the studio and the creative rooms showed that the preschool with a creative room in the department gave the most positive response because the room was considered to enable continuous creation processes. The studio as a separate room and the playroom with a creative corner had shortcomings in accessibility with regard to the use of the room as well as the material.

From the taste for sports the distinction as a teacher of physical education : the formative processes of Prolicen in of UFES

Sofiste, Ana Flávia Souza 28 May 2018 (has links)
This research seeks to understand the learning processes present in the significant formative experiences of teachers-students of a distance delivery degree course in physical education, based on the analysis of the (auto)biographical narratives written by them about their training trajectory. The course in question, a distance delivery degree in physical education - Programa Pró-Licenciatura fase II - was offered only once by the center of Physical Education and Sports and Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (Prolicen/CEFD/Ufes) between 2008 and 2013, for physical education professionals in exercise without qualification at an undergraduate level. The 510 teachers-students had access to an educational platform Moodle and were enrolled in 10 campuses closest to their places of residence, where the in-person classes were taking place. The course also had regular and online tutors for the orientation and monitoring of the activities carried out by the expert teachers. For the present research, a set of thirteen teacherstudents who belong to the Vila Velha. The complex was chosen as the subjects, because they held the highest approval rate in the course. The primary sources used were the undergraduate thesis, (TCC Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso) which consisted of an (auto)biographical narrative about the Vocational Training Memory, presented in public defense for a thesis defense committee formed by two tutors and a specialist teacher. The analysis here developed sought to identify the experiences that are presented as significant in the narratives produced by the teacher-students, as a means of gathering clues about the forms of appropriation of the content taught in the course curriculum and establish relationships with the professional experience of these teachers-students. To develop such analysis, it was considered the position occupied by the subjects of this research in the social space, based on the concept of habitus and the types of capital present in Bourdieu\'s theory (1998, 2005): social, economic and cultural. It was also examined the resources from the disciplines Elaboration of Professional Memory I and II (Elaboração de Memória Profissional I e II) for the apprehension of the didactic strategies mobilized to favor the elaboration of the narratives. In addition, the documents produced by the course office were consulted - such as: the courses Pedagogical Project, the Meeting Minutes, the Memorandums and the Circular Letters , aiming on mapping data about the structure, curricular organization and conception of teacher education. This way, it was possible to conclude that the learning of the formative knowledge (TARDIF, 2008) was established in the interaction with a habitus present in the trajectory of the teacher-students, which is based on Taste for Sport, through which the content taught was incorporated by the student teachers for articulating their personal project (MEIRIEU, 1998). This habitus allowed the subjects of this study to create meanings for entrance and permanence in the course, among which the possibility of expanding and/or stabilizing themselves by acting as a Physical Education teacher, as well as the enrichment of practical knowledge, gaining a greater legitimacy for their action in the field as a result of the incorporation of scientific knowledge.

The heightened competition unchained by the era of the information has been generating new challenges to the companies and professionals. The design is shown as a field that has been contributing to understand and act on the contemporary demands, standing out for the capacity to create value for companies and consumers. In that perspective, the study presents the investigation accomplished on a design tool - workshop, having as objective to understand the processes that happen in the Workshop in Strategic Design, implying that this instrument can be associated to learning processes and generation of knowledge. The study comprises the connection between theoretical reference and empirical research - composed by the observation of four workshops accomplished at Unisinos’ Design School, in 2009 and 2010, and six interviews made with professionals involved with Design teaching, in the same institution. The results show that the workshop in Design consists in a concentrated, intense and creative project session with a structure intentionally planned and a specific group of players, among which stand out coordinators, people that make speeches and participants. The stages (problem setting, problem solving, visualizing), that aim the problem understanding, the search for solutions and the concepts visualization, promote individual and collective reflection, connection between theory and practice, conflicts and results - that can be tangible (presented concepts) or intangible (participants experience). Therefore, the interweaving of the practical and reflexive knowledge (tacit) with the scientific and rational knowledge (explicit) of the participants turns the Workshop in Strategic Design an useful space for learning and generation of knowledge.

Deficiência visual e ensino/aprendizagem de língua estrangeira: subsídios para a formação de professores em contexto universitário / Visual impairment and foreign-language teaching/learning processes: findings related to teachers education in universities.

Cerchiari, Cristiana Mello 16 May 2011 (has links)
This paper assumes both that one can find visually impaired students focusing on foreign-language learning from kindergarten to higher education, and that foreign-language teachers may be acquainted with those students at any time during their professional career. In order to support those assumptions, we compared pieces of research from four foreign-language teachers: Ramos, 2000; Motta, 2004; Dias, 2008; and Magalhães, 2009. By analyzing their papers, we concluded that foreign-language teachers approach and accomplish teaching/ learning processes involving those pupils with no sufficient knowledge and not having developed competences to act otherwise. Therefore, we studied some factors that may lead to such situation. We initially approached the variables that shape their education in universities, then we performed an episodic interview (FLICK, 2009) with a foreign-language teacher whose life-story has constantly and closely been connected to blind and visually-impaired individuals. When contrasting the research performed by those four teachers with the episodic interview, we noted that when teachers-to-be are given the opportunity to approach visual impairment issues during their education, they are more likely to acquire knowledge and develop competences which may enable them to identify and work with unique individuals in their classroom, as well as to cope with pedagogical and technological resources available for those students.

Radio i skolan : En fallstudie av ett estetiskt lärande projekt / Radio in School : A case study about an aesthetic learning project

Rosén, Susanne January 2009 (has links)
The project ”Radio in the school” was offered to pupils within the individual programme in one secondary school.

Lindström, Heléne January 2013 (has links)
