Mobilité et action humaine :une approche phénoménologique

Lafontaine, Simon 26 June 2019 (has links) (PDF)

Work-related wellness of information technology professionals in South Africa / C. Westerman

Westerman, Christelle January 2005 (has links)
The information technology industry is considered to be one of the most demanding industries, with significant social, physical and psychological consequences for the wellbeing of the information technology professional. Work wellness and general psychological well-being plays an important role in the well-being of the information technology professional. The measurement of work-related wellness requires valid, reliable and culturally fair measuring instruments. However research on work wellness and occupational well-being in South Africa is lacking, especially in the information technology context. A lack of norms for work-related wellness in South Africa makes the identification of work-related wellness in the information technology industry difficult. Consequently, investigating the reliability, validity, equivalence and bias of work-related well-being measuring instruments would result in the standardisation of work wellness (consisting of burnout and engagement) and occupational well-being, suitable for use in the multicultural information technology industry setting. Moreover, the operationalisation of work wellness, as well as an inclusive model regarding the work-related wellness of information technology professionals that includes work wellness and occupational wellbeing are lacking in the South African literature. The objectives of this research were to standardise the measurement of work wellness for information technology professionals in South Africa, to develop and test a model of occupational well-being for information technology professionals in South Africa, to develop and test a comprehensive model of work-related wellness for information technology professionals in South Africa (consisting of work wellness and occupational well-being), and to test for moderating effects of affectivity in the experience of mark related well-being of information technology professionals in South Africa. The research consists of three separate articles, each consisting of a brief literature overview and an empirical study. A cross-sectional survey design with a snowball sample (n = 214) of information technology professionals in South Africa was used. Adapted versions of the Maslach Burnout Inventory - General Survey (MBI-GS) and Gtrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES), as well as the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), Affectometer 2 (AFM-2), Life Orientation Test - Revised (LOT-R), Organisational Commitment Questionnaire (OC-Q), Information Technology Job Characteristics Inventory (ITJCI), as well as the Health scale of the Organisational Screening Evaluation Tool (ASSET) and a biographical questionnaire were used. Descriptive statistics, analysis of variance, correlations, exploratory factor analysis and structural equation modeling were used. Exploratory factor analysis confirmed a two-factor model for the MBI-GS consisting of a combined Burnout factor and Professional Efficacy, while a one-factor model was found for the UWES, namely Engagement, with acceptable internal consistencies. Exploratory second-order factor analysis confirmed a two-factor, culturally fair model of work wellness for information technology professionals in South Africa, consisting of burnout and work engagement. Item bias analysis revealed no evidence of bias for the MBI-GS, while uniform bias was found for two items (Items 7 and 12) of the UWES. Construct equivalence in terms of work wellness was obtained for the different language groups in the sample. The results confirmed a four-factor model of occupational well-being for information technology professionals in South Africa, namely negative and positive work wellness, organisational commitment and general psychological well-being. The model of occupational well-being was found to be equivalent across language groups, except for general psychological well-being, which seemed to differ for the non-mother-tongue English language speakers. In terms of work-related wellness, a model consisting of work wellness and occupational well-being was constructed and uccessfully tested. Structural equation analysis confirmed main effects for negative affectivity in terms of burnout and engagement, while main effects were confirmed for burnout, ill-health and engagement in terms of positive affectivity. Interaction effects for affectivity were not confirmed in the model of work-related wellness of information technology professionals in South Africa. Recommendations for the organisation and future research were made / Thesis (Ph.D. (Industrial Psychology))--North-West University, Vaal Triangle Campus, 2006.

Expression de l’affectivité dans l’espagnol du Chili : étude linguistique de quatre phénomènes prégnants / The expression of affectivity in Chile's spanish language : linguistic study of four significant phenomena

Moreno Nilo, Juan Luis 26 February 2015 (has links)
This thesis fits into the general framework of descriptive linguistics. The thesis focuses on the colloquial Spanish used in Chile, through the affects expressed by the Chilean speakers. Our hypothesis is that Chilean Spanish is defined on the basis of affects, and linguistically, the expression of these affects is observed in various phenomena, from a simple morpheme to a complex phrase structure. In order to consider the linguistic expression of affects from a broader perspective, this research aims to study four clearly differentiated phenomena: the –it suffix as it is used within the Chilean linguistic community, the oriented paronomasia, phraseological deautomatization of verbal and adverbial phrases, and the illocutionary particle poh.Our methodology involves the removal of a number of consistent examples to illustrate the phenomena chosen from 103 copies of the Chilean newspaper La Cuarta (examples collected between 2010 and 2011). Similarly, we have extracted a selection of examples of recordings of conversations conducted with 58 Chilean speakers. The four linguistic phenomena focused upon have been studied from the concept of affectivity proposed by Bally (1965 [1913]), who distinguishes the principles of intensity and value (1951 [1909]).The study of the affectivity of the –it suffix in the Chilean context, has revealed that the affectivity is a property that operates in two dimensions. It is, firstly, intrinsic to a linguistic sign - lexical base, –it suffix and other convergent linguistic elements in the speech - and on the other hand, extrinsic, as it refers to cultural or ideological elements. In other words, everything that is extralinguistic. With respect to the "oriented paronomasia" (a term we put forward), we found that affectivity is the main feature of this type of paronomasia and that their use is essentially based on the form of the joke, this is due to the common characteristics that we found: the recreational function, the comic intent and surprise. The oriented paronomasia, which participates in the phonetic, morphological, lexical and semantic levels, constitutes for us a linguistic derivative transaction in which two simple or complex lexemes that are replaced by one another inside a sentence, share phonetic properties, even though the semantic content of these diverges.Concerning the deautomatization of verbal and adverbial phrases, it is revealed that the manipulation phraseology is a natural linguistic activity that appeals to the constant figurative relationship between the words, allowing one to create other ways in which to express and update the use of terms already in existence. The evolution of fixed phrases undergoes a process of transformation desired by speakers to the detriment of given phraseological or syntactic rules. However, the interest of neological creation intervenes when the speaker is able to create and recreate new linguistic structures.Regarding the illocutory particle poh, it is a linguistic particle, primarily oral, that derives from the connector 'pues' (Oroz, 1966), whose original form has been absorbed by phonetic attrition. We have managed to demonstrate that poh helps the progression of communication, favouring the coherence and cohesion between the statement and the text. Also, through the use of poh, a consensual agreement is established between the speakers and, from this agreement, arise pragmatic-affective functions.

Le sujet à l’épreuve de la guérison, une intégrité affective au fondement de notre consistance / The subject facing with the ordeal of healing, an affective integrity as our consistency foundation

Julien, Valérie 22 January 2016 (has links)
Instinct tells us that sickness is an ill from which we must recover, but we must know if instinct is enough to explain what is evident, in other words, if reason can even account for what resists its hold on rationality. In short, if it's possible to argue "with reason" on a question which, from the outset, involves the subject. This work falls within the scope of hermeneutic phenomenology. It questions the critical life experience of confronting "serious illness", meaning an illness that "nature" cannot cure, and looks at what the effort required to recover teaches us about our humanity. Separate from the perspective which seeks to identify “the essence of the cure,” my aim is to interpret what is at play in the subject's personality, who undertakes to recover, in other words maintains their commitment, independently of the objective conditions for recovery. As taking into consideration both individual and collective health requirements could mask the subjective element of the relationship to health in the growing importance accorded to the concept of care and ‘’good’’ care. With the best intentions in the world health research could avoid the question of the subject's participation in defining "living well" and transform itself into a new attempt to normalize humanity. I have chosen to examine the conditions for the possibility of and upholding of our resistance as a subject for the confrontation with illness strips us of our power and obliges us to make a stand for life, for a meaning to life, despite being exposed to death. The moment of truth – and in this sense an event – where the self of the subject, is at stake. Faced with illness, the subject experiences an ordeal which is intimately bound to their attitude to life, which itself is no longer evident. I try to throw some light on which subject medical practice addresses to elicit interrogation and if possible to open a new area of resources for people responsible for healing. Resources which lead to a rethinking of our relationship to sensitive subjects and the illusion of one’s compassionate control. Resources which reconsider the subject’s capacity to resist “the way things are”. Resources which make and remake the vital link to life, of which the primary test for us is always “emotional,” convinced that if the subject alone decides their recovery, none can heal alone. My reasoning will explore the entrenchment, or not, of the subject in the affectivity of life, look again at the potential or necessary link between affectivity and liberty as well as the connection between the one and the other to responsibility. This will lead us to question the paradigm of resilience to consider the subject's capacity for integration, to question guilt as the norm which regulates the moral conscience and disaffection with love in order to remain master of one's self.I want to show that the phenomenon of resilience does not permit the hypothesis of a possible integrity of the subject; resilience can also be considered as an artifact produced by an individual who assembles an attitude to the disaster residing in them and destroying them bit by bit.I put forward the, without doubt thorny, hypothesis, that guilt is an accomplice of the physical and moral ill and thereby alters a resistant subject's ability to confront the situation. That emotional integrity, “at the heart of the subject” has always preceded the ill and affirms before any destructiveness and negativity a “generosity of self.”Lastly, I will explore the ability to love as a reality of the highest importance to consider the integrity of a subject, filled with the love of life who undertakes to spread "good". From this, comes this generosity, this is what, in the framework of our research, we call “healing.”

Am eigenen Leib : Überlegungen zum Thema Gender, Disziplin und Körperlichkeit im Roman Die Schmerzmacherin. (2011) von Marlene Streeruwitz / Gender, discipline, and visceral feeling in the novel Die Schmerzmacherin. by Marlene Streeruwitz

Tengberg, Piia Susanna January 2024 (has links)
This study concerns the novel Die Schmerzmacherin. by Marlene Streeruwitz and analyzes the narrative as a story about gender as felt on and through the body. The theoretical framework employed in the analysis includes a look at the gender economy; this is done through a presentation of the different actors involved and their contribution to the dynamic. The gender economy itself is characterized as a phallogocentric forum where the possibilities of participation and effecting change are unequally distributed. The study goes on to argue that disciplinary power is how the actors in the novel are taught to engage with and submit to the rules of the gender economy, and different arenas or spaces of disciplinary power are described through text-based examples. It is further suggested that the power of engaging differently also lies within reach of the actors, and that this is accomplished through attuning to the affectively felt knowledge of the effects of the gender economy. Affective knowledge, the study argues, is gained through aesthetics, by which is meant an overcoming of sensory or affective numbness and a regaining of a sense of bodily reality. As a final note, the study briefly considers the role of art in such acts of re-sensitization.

La raison à l'épreuve du sensible : depuis Husserl et Levinas / The Sensible or the Challenge of Reason : from Husserl and Levinas

Lorelle, Paula 01 December 2014 (has links)
A new idea of reason was born with phenomenology. Beyond the opposition between rationalism andirrationalism, and against its Kantian reduction to a faculty, reason is redefined in the light of the experiencethat it enables to describe. But the difficulty arises when we attempt to reach the rationality of the sensibleexperience itself, in its own irreducibility to the demands of reason - in its irreducible peculiarity, complexity, lack and indetermination. Under which conditions can we think a logic of the sensible without betrayingsensibility or compromising reason? Husserl’s project of a “logic-of-the-world” requires, in its understandingas in its renewal, a reevaluation of the concepts of “reason” and “sensibility”. This dissertation consists in acritical study of these concepts, from these two main moments of their unfolding: their Husserlian inaugurationand their Levinassian radicalization. From a historical point of view, this choice enables us to assess thisphenomenological extension of reason - from an intellectual conception of sensibility in Husserl, to itsLevinassian depth. From a problematical point of view, this choice enables us to lead the problem to its finalterms, where the sensible is not made of meaning anymore, but appears in its very irrationality - whensensibility is not the perceptive grasp of an identity, but an affective exposure to otherness. Thought in itsfundamental equivocity, sensibility must be the place of a renewed challenge of reason, the critical principle ofthe rationality used by its description.
