: En kvalitativ studie i användandet av sociala medier som kommunikationsverktyg / Isn’t it just a waste of time and money? : A qualitative study of the use of social media as a communication tool

Stridh Mossberg, Sandra, Wärendh, Mikaela January 2013 (has links)
Social media has become an important marketing and communication tool worldwide, mostly through the largest social platforms Facebook and Twitter. With two-way communication via Internet companies has gotten the opportunity to interact and communicate directly with their customers. Facebook has been the focus point through the study because it has shown to be the most efficient and frequently used platform for communication. Our study aimed to confirm how communication via social media actually looks like. To be able to reach the best results, we have conducted the study from a phenomenological approach, which means; usage of qualitative semi-structured interviews to reflect the respondents experience on the phenomenon social media as a communication tool. Social media has shown to be a great way of communicating externally for companies who are willing to spend time engaging in the platform. The opportunities social media has brought, such as interaction has led most of the companies to use social media as their primary communication channel, all thou social media is probably not going to replace the traditional channels. This study has also allowed us to develop a model for communication through social media, for companies who are thinking of communicating through social media, and for companies who are communicating through social media today.

Stille, Göran January 2013 (has links)
I have done a series of dialogue seminars with participants being 5 industrious individuals. The aim was to find out if it was possible to express the skills of this group of professionals. I did not reach this goal. I interpret the causes being my inadequate understanding in action of some of the critical element for a successful project outcome. My intellectual understanding was not enough. Understanding in action was necessary. The most critical element I believe is my lack of ability in interpreting how other individuals express their practical experience.

Christersson Vigert, Gunilla January 2011 (has links)
A group of pedagogues, striving to develop their skills, have filmed an everyday situation with their pupils in order to highlight a specific question that they had. Through reflective conversation they helped each other analyze the recorded material. The purpose of this study was to see how they embraced this challenge, what they discovered in the recordings and how they discussed their findings. The dialogue between them can be looked upon as a communicative “web” in which the different perspectives of the pedagogues meet and are woven together. The study aimed to provide an answer to which elements were included in this communicative web. Through this awareness the study wanted to generate a broader understanding of how principals and pedagogues could create possibilities for reflective dialogue to be a functional tool within professional development as well as school development. The research question: How do the pedagogues use reflective dialogue when they use an authentic situation from their own practice as a starting point? The result showed that the reflective communicative web contained four elements. Elements that describe what they have discovered in the recordings, elements that explain and bring understanding to their findings, elements that suggest further investigations of what they have found and finally elements that suggest changes to improve the learning development conditions for the pupils. There were a wide range of factors that affected whether the reflective conversation led to learning or not. The skills of the participants both regarding dialogue and analyses were, for example, of importance for the outcome. The authentic examples from the recordings that the pedagogues used as a starting point helped them to focus. It also helped them see things from each other's perspective. The recordings provided a variety of functions that contributed to the quality of the conversation. The last part of the paper is a discussion about the pedagogical implications from the principal's perspective.

Språkutveckling med hjälp av Tragetons metod; möjligheter och hinder : Att skriva sig till läsning med dator och surfplatta / Development of language by the method of Trageton opportunities and obstacles : Using writing on computer and surfboard to learn to read

Ågren, Susanne January 2012 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to describe some primary school teachers understanding of language development and approach of first and second language speakers with Arne Tragetons Writing to reading, for pupils in early ages. By using a qualitative method with interviews and participant observations and informal conversations, the basis for the survey was collected. Four teachers in three schools participated. The proportion of second-language pupils at each school was 35%, 17% and 0%. My theoretical starting point in the study was the hermeneutic research tradition, which has been used to interpret and understand the collected material. Theories of behaviorism, constructivism and socio-cultural perspective has been used in the analysis part of this study. Furthermore, the material has been compared against previous research on reading and writing development using computers. The development of reading and writing has been studied by the concept of functional reading and writing, theories of motivation, and pupil-oriented scaffolding of the proximal development zone. The results indicate that the teachers mainly use a sociocultural approach. They have a student close thinking in terms of both knowledge and interest in the implementation of teaching. The teachers take a positive view on learning with the aid of computer. They see the benefits that pupils have a good production of texts and that students have the opportunity to develop a meta-language through cooperation and dialogue when working with computers. A further result is that what is supportive for second language speaking pupils is also supportive for native language speaking pupils.

Degerliden, Lina January 2010 (has links)
In this report, a case study of conditions for Swedish language development in children of immigrant origin is presented, and its results explored. The boundaries of the case study are defined as preschool pedagogues’ facilitation of Swedish language development through co-learning, in children of immigrant origin in an ethnically segregated urban area. Concepts central to the report include dialogue, second language learning and perspectives on language difficulties. For the theoretical background of the report, a basic sociocultural theorem is used, which links language as well as other areas of development to verbal interaction in a social context. The result is presented as patterns in attitudes and experiences of pedagogues and children, as they show in observations of varied contexts of social interaction and interviews. As results show, children of immigrant origin show resilience to negative influences brought on by pedagogues in social contexts coloured by dialogue and co-learning.

It is not very often that I feel involved because I don’t raise my hand very often so that might be my own fault" : A qualitative study about six students own experience in dialogue and participation in first grade.

Pettersson, Camilla January 2011 (has links)
According to the curriculum Sweden’s elementary school is to educate students in subjects such as "Listening, debating and argumentation". I ask myself if this is actually something that every student is being provided with. The purpose of this study is to gain additional information about children’s participation in the classroom. This is done from the children’s perspective by examining how students in first grade experience their roll in the conversation between and in relation to the teacher. In order to get subjective as well as an objective perspective qualitative methods are used in this essay. First I observed the children in the classroom and then I interviewed six of them. The main questions at issue are: How do children in first grade experience their own participation in the classroom? In what situations do the children in first grade sense they are allowed to speak with the teacher in the classroom? What is significant for the different situations in which the children in first grade get to have a conversation with the teacher? Dialogue and Participation is two essential concepts throughout the study and according to research highly associated and therefore necessary to examine together. As showed in the results of the study several students in first grade didn’t feel participant enough in the classroom and all of the students wanted to converse more during the lesson. Results also show that the students who raised their hands were the ones who had well functioning social capacity and they also got more attention than other students.
