O jogo de RPG como ferramenta auxiliar de aprendizagem na disciplina de Ci?ncias / Roleplaying Games (RPG) as a Complementary Learning Tool in Sciences Discipline

Considering the amount of themes in general sciences and in biology, in particular that could be explored through RPG our purpose was to develop a game to be used as a learning complementary tool. PANG?IA, the game we developed, was based on the GURPS system and to be placed at the geological Eras of the earth. The objective of the game was playing a character that represented an animal belonging to a Class of Vertebrates, and making it surviving and reproducing during risky situations presented in the game. These situations were narratives by the Master about challenges that the character would face, which should be solved using the dices. Along the narrative, the Master introduced concepts and informations about the subject being studied. To evaluating how the game worked out, we solicited 11 volunteers, from two different schools in Natal, to play PANG?IA. Before starting the game, and without knowing the final objectives of our project, the volunteers answered a general questionnaire to let us know their level of knowledge, which was also answered after playing the game. The comparison of the volunteers answers before and after playing the game suggests that this activity influenced them. Also, based on this test, we identified critical aspects to be modified in PANG?IA, specially a stronger relation between both the questionnaire and the game placement with the narrative of the master. In order to have PANG?IA used as a complementary learning tool, a teachers handbook has to be written, including rules concerning the format of game application. Nonetheless, based on this pilot study, we conclude that topics on sciences and biology can be easily adjusted to RPG format, and its flexibility provides multiple combinations that can be used to help learning the more difficult topics to be taught in a class / A reflex?o a respeito da forma tradicional de ensino, caracterizada por uma maneira est?tica e descritiva, que ainda persiste nas Escolas e o enriquecimento do mundo social t?m motivado a procura por novas t?cnicas que estimulem os alunos para o processo de ensino/aprendizagem, como os jogos de representa??o denominados de RPG (do ingl?s Roleplaying Games), j? utilizados em v?rias disciplinas. Dada a riqueza de temas de Ci?ncias e Biologia que poderiam ser explorados atrav?s do RPG, nosso objetivo foi criar um jogo que pudesse ser utilizado como ferramenta auxiliar de aprendizagem. PANG?IA, o jogo criado, foi constitu?do a partir do sistema GURPS e ambientado nas Eras geol?gicas da Terra. O objetivo do jogo consistia em vivenciar um personagem, que era um animal de uma das Classes dos Vertebrados, e faz?-lo sobreviver e reproduzir ao longo de Aventuras. Nessa narrativa, o Mestre introduzia conceitos e informa??es sobre os temas abordados. Para avaliar o funcionamento do jogo, solicitamos a 11 volunt?rios, alunos de duas Escolas de Natal, que jogassem PANG?IA. Antes do jogo, e sem conhecimento dos objetivos finais do trabalho, esses volunt?rios responderam a um question?rio de conhecimentos, o mesmo que foi aplicado ap?s o jogo. Comparando as op??es de resposta dos volunt?rios antes e depois, encontramos fortes sugest?es de que algumas delas foram influenciadas pelo jogo. A partir desse teste, identificamos a necessidade de modifica??es importantes em PANG?IA, principalmente uma maior rela??o entre o question?rio e a Ambienta??o com a narrativa do Mestre. 晚清駐檳榔嶼副領事之角色分析(1893-1911)

十九世紀末的檳榔嶼華人社會,其人口總數約為八萬餘人,其中屬客家方言群者,只有七千餘人,尚不及該地華人總人口數的十分之一。儘管如此,客家籍富商卻能不間斷的出任清朝政府派駐該地的副領事,無疑顯示出其有獨特之處。其中,張弼士出任首任副領事,更是其關鍵的肇始。因為透過張氏的精心安排和計畫,遂逐步奠定該職繼續由客家富商擔任的基礎。至於客家籍富商出任該職,不僅讓他們有更多的機會接觸祖國事務,亦進一步將他們引入檳榔嶼華人社會的領導階層,成為名符其實的華人社會領袖,同時亦造就了客家籍「埔梅集團」的興起。副領事一職,是清朝政府對外設立使領館中,層級最低的一個小機構。就機構本身而言,它的影響力是非常有限,無足輕重。是故,長期以來,亦不會特別引人注意到檳榔嶼副領事,到底會對近代中國帶來怎樣的影響和改變。不過,就因為擔任副領事者當中,有了張弼士、張煜南、謝榮光、梁碧如和戴春榮等人物的出現,以致改變了和凸顯出檳榔嶼副領事的重要性。尤其是張弼士更透過他商業網絡的優勢,而躋入清朝的商業官僚體系內,甚至更成為主管晚清商務的商務大臣,進而推動和影響了晚清商業資本主義的發展。此外,當革命派在檳榔嶼展開活動至中華民國建立為止,該批亦官亦商的檳榔嶼副領事,不僅沒有對革命派加以打壓,甚至還默許他們的親族參與革命活動。因此,同盟會南洋支部自新加坡遷往檳榔嶼之後,革命派在南洋的活動和發展,得以繼續藉由在當地的重整機會,而取得喘息和重新出發的新契機。由此觀之,檳榔嶼副領事對於近代中國政治的發展,無疑亦扮演著一個極特殊又關鍵的角色,對近代中國實產生了一個極大的衝擊和影響。

Dr. Eleine Mad är Madeleine Jacobsssons talesperson för dom vetenskapliga och paranormala upptäckter som uppstår i hennes världar. Hon beskriver innehåll, teknik och estetik utifrån ett kategoriseringssytem där konsten delas upp som olika typer av komponenter och därefter avkodas dessa allteftersom. För att förstå intuitionens inblandning i arbetsprocessen omförvandlas den till tre separata roller av en Sökare, Samlare och Myntare. Med rollerna försöker jag beskriva på vilka sätt som intuitionen är till gagn eller av förödelse för det konstnärliga arbetet. Sagan om M handlar om en grodlik karaktär, Delop, som lämnar sin hemplanet för att uppsöka andra världar. I sitt sökande hittar Delop ett folkslag vars syn och levnadssätt skiljer sig från hennes erfarenheter av “verkligheten” såsom hon lärt sig att överleva i den. / Dr. Eleine Mad is Madeleine Jacobsson's spokesperson for the scientific and paranormal discoveries that arise in her worlds. She describes content, tecniques and aesthetics based on a categorization system where art is divided into different types of components and then decoded as they go. To understand the intuition's involvement in the work process, it is transformed into three separate roles by a Seeker, Collector and a Myntare(In swedish language the one who is a "myntare" -is verbally declaring a concept or term). With these roles I try to describe in what ways intuition is beneficial or devastating to the artistic work. The story of M is about a frog-like character, Delop, who leaves the home planet to seek out other worlds. In her search, Delop finds a world whose views and lifestyles differ from her experiences of "reality" as she learned to survive in it. / <p>Recorded sound and image material of the presentation is available for private use.</p>
