In my theses I focus on analysis of three international private market companies. Company GEFCO ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA s.r.o. , Dalkia a.s. a ABB a.s. With this companies I'm interested in the way how they practice corporate social responsibility (CSR). When I was choosing this companies I considered facts as: Company has to have head quarter in Western Europe Company has to have experience with corporate social responsibility and has to practice CSR and has to organize social responsible activities. All chosen companies are leaders in its business sector. In my theses I will focus on overview about CSR activities of companies, mainly on corporate philanthropy. I will focus on cooperation of these companies and non government organization, I'm interested in concrete activities done by NGOs in cooperation with through CSR and how NGOs perceived activities that are done through CSR. I'm interested in the way how companies involve their employees into CSR. I 'm going to aim if subsidiaries and head quarters practice same CSR activities and using same CSR tools. I'm also interested in the role of CSR in marketing strategy of these companies. Současné zdroje a možnosti financování veřejných knihoven v ČR / Current resources and opportunities of public libraries funding in the Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis is to describe and evaluate the current situation regarding the funding of public libraries in the Czech Republic. The introduction comprises a concise definition of the legislative framework for funding public libraries. In the main section of the work the author deals with the system of libraries providing public library and information services and how these libraries can be established. Then the analysis of the financial resources that can be used by these libraries follows, i.e. grants by founders, national and international programs and projects to support libraries, fundraising, donating, sponsoring, patronage, volunteering, grants by foundations, libraries' own business. There is also a description of pricing and financial policy, analysis of the financial management of libraries in various regions and the influence of the economic crisis on library budgets. The main part of the thesis related to the whole Czech Republic is followed by the part aimed only at the Central Bohemian. In this thesis the activities of civic sector organisations (CSOs) in the field of foreign children's education in the Czech Republic and in the Netherlands are described. The aim is to analyze conditions which are in the field of foreign children's education in both countries, and methods and instruments which are used by CSOs. In the Netherlands there is a lot of experience with immigrants from all over the world so know how of Dutch CSOs can serve as an inspiration for Czech CSOs since in the CR there is lack of experience with immigrants. In both countries a qualitative research was done. The research was made on the basis of knowledge acquired in specialised literature. It includes semistructured interviews with CSOs members, and in the case of the Netherlands interviews with employees of two Dutch schools and with an expert on foreign children's education. The present thesis focuses on the development of volunteerism as a part of the professionalization of a nonprofit organization. Case study took place in the organization Pestrá společnost, which is dedicated to the training of assistance dogs and provides social services to the owners of assistance dogs. The organization uses volunteers regularly and on long-term basis. Research in this organization confirms the fact that quality management of volunteerism effectively utilizes the capacity of motivated volunteers and reduces overall financial costs. The theoretical part focuses on the professionalisation of management of volunteering through the selection and training of volunteers with regard to their motivation. It describes how the motivation of volunteers links with the aims of the organization. An organization, which is interested in linking together the motivation of volunteers and its own aims during the process of their selection and training must undoubtedly benefit from this collaboration. The practical part in the form of a case study focuses on a concrete organization. The qualitative part of the research provides specific suggestions for changes and measures that are proposed as the part of the action research. Wie eine aktuelle Umfrage des Deutschen Bibliotheksverbands erst jüngst wieder gezeigt hat, ist das Thema „Ehrenamt“ bis heute weitgehend eines der Öffentlichen Bibliotheken geblieben. Nahezu 70 % der über 80.000 ehrenamtlich tätigen Personen unterstützen kirchliche, 30 % kommunale Bibliotheken. Aus dem Bereich der Wissenschaftlichen Bibliotheken konnten bundesweit nur 12 Einrichtungen zu der Umfrage beitragen (Rainer Sprengel, Bibliothek und Ehrenamt, Berlin 2011). Der typische ehrenamtlich Aktive arbeitet in kleinen und mittleren Einrichtungen im ländlichen Raum. Daneben ist ein West-Ost-Gefälle bemerkbar. Während in den alten Bundesländern ehrenamtliche Unterstützung inzwischen fast die Regel zu sein scheint, sind die neuen Bundesländer mit ihrer besonderen historischen Tradition eines dichten öffentlich finanzierten Bibliotheksnetzes noch unterproportional beteiligt.

[pt] O objetivo desta tese de doutorado é investigar as produções de sentidos que são (des)construídos por voluntários que atuam no atendimento às pessoas em situação de refúgio no Centro de Atendimento ao Refugiado, mantido pela Associação São Vicente de Paulo (ASVP) e localizado no bairro de Botafogo, zona Sul da cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Uma vez que intentamos compreender os sentidos promovidos por voluntários em diferentes perspectivas, os dados foram gerados, por meio da entrevista qualitativa, com um psicólogo, uma recreadora infantil e um professor de português como língua estrangeira, todos ofertantes de assistência voluntária a refugiados. A fim de alcançarmos nossos objetivos, lançamos mão dos postulados teórico-metodológicos do arcabouço da Análise da Narrativa, uma vez que, por meio deste ferramental, podemos promover a investigação sobre como os voluntários avaliam os refugiados a que atendem; as motivações para (des)continuidade da oferta da prática assistencial que desempenham; bem como analisar a maneira como os voluntários desenvolvem suas práticas identitárias, que, neste trabalho, são entendidas como performáticas, fluidas e emergentes durante o fluxo interacional. Os dados aqui observados apontam para o trabalho voluntário como uma arena socio-interacional em que são operacionalizados sentidos e sistemas de coerência díspares, que perpassam pelo domínio discursivo religioso, educacional, jurídico e clínico. / [en] The objective of this doctoral thesis is to investigate the productions of meanings that are (de)constructed by volunteers who work in order to assist people in refugee situations at the Refugee Service Center, maintained by the Associação São Vicente de Paulo (ASVP) and located in neighborhood of Botafogo, south zone of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Since we tried to understand the meanings promoted by volunteers from different perspectives, the data was generated, through qualitative interviews, with a psychologist, a children s entertainer and a Portuguese teacher as foreing language, all offering voluntary assistance to refugees. In order to achieve our objectives, we made use of the theoretical-methodological postulates of the Narrative Analysis framework, since, through this tool, we can promote investigation into how volunteers evaluate the refugees they serve; the motivations for (dis)continuity in offering the care practice they perform; as well as analyzing the way in which volunteers develop their identity practices, which, in this work, are understood as performative, fluid and emerging during the interactional flow. Da wir die von Freiwilligen in verschiedenen Perspektiven geförderten Bedeutungen verstehen möchten, wurden die Daten durch qualitative Interviews mit einem Psychologen, einem Kinderbetreuer und einem Portugiesischlehrer als Fremdsprache, die alle freiwillige Unterstützung für Flüchtlinge anbieten, generiert. Um unsere Ziele zu erreichen, greifen wir auf die theoretisch-methodologischen Postulate des narrativen Analyserahmens zurück, da wir mithilfe dieser Instrumente die Untersuchung darüber fördern können, wie Freiwillige die Flüchtlinge bewerten, die sie betreuen; die Motivationen für (Dis)Kontinuität des Angebots der unterstützenden Praxis, die sie ausüben; sowie die Analyse, wie Freiwillige ihre identitären Praktiken entwickeln, die in dieser Arbeit als performativ, flüssig und emergent während des interaktiven Flusses verstanden werden. Die hier beobachteten Daten deuten darauf hin, dass Freiwilligenarbeit als soziointeraktionale Arena fungiert, in der unterschiedliche Sinn- und Kohärenzsysteme operativ sind, die durch religiöse, Bildungs-, rechtliche und klinische Diskursdomänen durchdrungen sind.

В магистерской работе представлен анализ и типология организационной культуры социально ориентированных организаций с позиции действующих сотрудников социально ориентированной сферы, а также ожиданий от потенциальных участников деловых отношений социально ориентированной сферы. Нами было установлено, что основной трудовой ресурс в социально ориентированной сфере – это волонтеры – что требует значительного влияния со стороны руководителя, но также в значительной степени важен профессиональный и качественный рост навыков, способностей сотрудников социально ориентированной сфере. / The master's work presents an analysis and typology of the organizational culture of socially oriented organizations from the perspective of existing employees of a socially-oriented sphere, as well as expectations from potential participants in business relations in a socially-oriented sphere. We found that the main labour resource in the socially-oriented sphere is volunteers, which requires significant influence from the head, but also the professional and qualitative growth of the skills and abilities of employees in the socially-oriented sphere is also very important.

Магистерская диссертация посвящена изучению формирования межкультурной коммуникативной компетенции у школьников 10 классов в процессе изучения иностранного языка при участии в международных волонтерских программах. Целью данного исследования является теоретическое обоснование, разработка и экспериментальная апробация модели формирования межкультурной коммуникативной компетенции у обучающихся десятых классов в процессе изучения английского языка при участии в международных волонтерских программах. Структура работы состоит из двух глав: теоретической и практической. В первой главе приведен теоретический обзор нормативных документов Федерального государственного образовательного стандарта среднего общего образования (ФГОС СОО) и научной литературы по теме формирования межкультурной коммуникативной компетенции у обучающихся старших классов на уроках иностранного языка, описаны особенности коммуникативного подхода в обучении иностранному языку, изучены двадцать семь волонтёрских программ и определены наиболее подходящие в рамках российских реалий, составлена и описана педагогическая модель формирования межкультурной коммуникативной компетенции у обучающихся десятых классов на уроках английского языка при участии иностранных волонтёров. Во второй главе описан материал исследования, педагогические технологии и деятельность обучающихся, учителя английского языка и иноязычного волонтёра в процессе формирования межкультурной коммуникативной компетенции в рамках курса внеурочной деятельности “Страноведение”, приведены результаты опытно-экспериментальной работы. Результаты экспериментальной работы подтвердили идеи о построении системы управления процессом формирования межкультурной коммуникативной компетенции старшеклассника, в котором ведущая роль принадлежит учителю английского языка, управляющему учебным процессом, сопутствующая роль принадлежит волонтёру, выступающему в роли фасилитатора коммуникативного процесса, который придаёт общению на иностранном языке более естественный характер. Материалы исследования могут быть использованы в преподавании таких учебных дисциплин как методика преподавания иностранного языка, дидактика внеурочной деятельности, практикум по межкультурной коммуникации. / The master dissertation is devoted to the study of the formation of cross-cultural communicative competence among 10th graders at English lessons with the assistance of international volunteers. The aim of this study is the theoretical justification, development and experimental testing of the educational model for the formation of intercultural communicative competence of the tenth grade students in the process of learning English with the assistance of international volunteers. The structure of the work consists of two chapters: theoretical and practical. The first chapter provides a theoretical review of normative documents (Federal State Academic Standard for High Schools) and scientific literature on the topic of the formation of intercultural communicative competence among high school students in foreign language lessons, describes the features of the communicative approach in teaching a foreign language. Twenty-seven volunteer programs have been studied during the research and the most suitable within the Russian realities have been pointed out. Moreover, a didactical model for the formation of intercultural communicative competence among the tenth grade students in English lessons with the foreign volunteers` participation has been compiled and described. The second chapter provides the information about the research material, the pedagogical technologies used in the process of forming intercultural communicative competence within the extracurricular activity course “Country Studies”, and presents the results of the experimental work. The results of the experimental work confirmed the ideas about building a management system for the formation of intercultural communicative competence of a high school student, in which the leading role belongs to the teacher of English who manages the educational process, the minor role belongs to a volunteer acting as a facilitator of the communicative process. It helps the foreign communication sound more natural and English-like. These results can be used within the courses of foreign language teaching methods, didactics of extracurricular activities, intercultural communication practice.

Challenges and potentials of channeling local philanthropy towards development and aocial justice and the role of waqf (Islamic and Arab-civic endowments) in building community foundations

Diese Arbeit bietet eine solide theoretische Grundlage zu Philanthropie und religiös motivierten Spendenaktivitäten und deren Einfluss auf Wohltätigkeitstrends, Entwicklungszusammenarbeit und einer auf dem Gedanken der sozialen Gerechtigkeit beruhenden Philanthropie. Untersucht werden dafür die Strukturen religiös motivierte Spenden, für die in der islamischen Tradition die Begriffe „zakat“, „Waqf“ oder im Plural auch „awqaf-“ oder „Sadaqa“ verwendet werden, der christliche Begriff dafür lautet „tithes“ oder „ushour“. Aufbauend auf diesem theoretischen Rahmenwerk analysiert die qualitative und quantitative Feldstudie auf nationaler Ebene, wie die ägyptische Öffentlichkeit Philanthropie, soziale Gerechtigkeit, Menschenrechte, Spenden, Freiwilligenarbeit und andere Konzepte des zivilgesellschaftlichen Engagements wahrnimmt. Um eine umfassende und repräsentative Datengrundlage zu erhalten, wurden 2000 Haushalte, 200 zivilgesellschaftliche Organisationen erfasst, sowie Spender, Empfänger, religiöse Wohltäter und andere Akteure interviewt. Die so gewonnen Erkenntnisse lassen aussagekräftige Aufschlüsse über philanthropische Trends zu. Erstmals wird so auch eine finanzielle Einschätzung und Bewertung der Aktivitäten im lokalen Wohltätigkeitsbereich möglich, die sich auf mehr als eine Billion US-Dollar beziffern lassen. Die Erhebung weist nach, dass gemessen an den Pro-Kopf-Aufwendungen die privaten Spendenaktivitäten weitaus wichtiger sind als auswärtige wirtschaftliche Hilfe für Ägypten. Das wiederum lässt Rückschlüsse zu, welche Bedeutung lokale Wohltätigkeit erlangen kann, wenn sie richtig gesteuert wird und nicht wie bislang oft im Teufelskreis von ad-hoc-Spenden oder Hilfen von Privatperson an Privatperson gefangen ist. Die Studie stellt außerdem eine Verbindung her zwischen lokalen Wohltätigkeits-Mechanismen, die meist auf religiösen und kulturellen Werten beruhen, und modernen Strukturen, wie etwa Gemeinde-Stiftungen oder Gemeinde-„waqf“, innerhalb derer die Spenden eine nachhaltige Veränderung bewirken können. Daher bietet diese Arbeit also eine umfassende wissenschaftliche Grundlage, die nicht nur ein besseres Verständnis, sondern auch den nachhaltiger Aus- und Aufbau lokaler Wohltätigkeitsstrukturen in Ägypten ermöglicht. Zentral ist dabei vor allem die Rolle lokaler, individueller Spenden, die beispielsweise für Stiftungen auf der Gemeindeebene eingesetzt, wesentlich zu einer nachhaltigen Entwicklung beitragen könnten – und das nicht nur in Ägypten, sondern in der gesamten arabischen Region. Als konkretes Ergebnis dieser Arbeit, wurde ein innovatives Modell entwickelt, dass neben den wissenschaftlichen Daten das Konzept der „waqf“ berücksichtigt. Der Wissenschaftlerin und einem engagierten Vorstand ist es auf dieser Grundlage gelungen, die Waqfeyat al Maadi Community Foundation (WMCF) zu gründen, die nicht nur ein Modell für eine Bürgerstiftung ist, sondern auch das tradierte Konzept der „waqf“ als praktikable und verbürgte Wohlstätigkeitsstruktur sinnvoll weiterentwickelt. / This work provides a solid theoretical base on philanthropy, religious giving (Islamic zakat, ‘ushour, Waqf -plural: awqaf-, Sadaqa and Christian tithes or ‘ushour), and their implications on giving trends, development work, social justice philanthropy. The field study (quantitative and qualitative) that supports the theoretical framework reflects at a national level the Egyptian public’s perceptions on philanthropy, social justice, human rights, giving and volunteering and other concepts that determine the peoples’ civic engagement. The statistics cover 2000 households, 200 Civil Society Organizations distributed all over Egypt and interviews donors, recipients, religious people and other stakeholders. The numbers reflect philanthropic trends and for the first time provide a monetary estimate of local philanthropy of over USD 1 Billion annually. The survey proves that the per capita share of philanthropy outweighs the per capita share of foreign economic assistance to Egypt, which implies the significance of local giving if properly channeled, and not as it is actually consumed in the vicious circle of ad-hoc, person to person charity. In addition, the study relates local giving mechanisms derived from religion and culture to modern actual structures, like community foundations or community waqf that could bring about sustainable change in the communities. In sum, the work provides a comprehensive scientific base to help understand- and build on local philanthropy in Egypt. It explores the role that local individual giving could play in achieving sustainable development and building a new wave of community foundations not only in Egypt but in the Arab region at large. As a tangible result of this thesis, an innovative model that revives the concept of waqf and builds on the study’s results was created by the researcher and a dedicated board of trustees who succeeded in establishing Waqfeyat al Maadi Community Foundation (WMCF) that not only introduces the community foundation model to Egypt, but revives and modernizes the waqf as a practical authentic philanthropic structure.
