Desenvolvimento de colÃnias de jandaÃra (Melipona Subnitida) sob confinamento e avaliaÃÃo de mÃtodos de multiplicaÃÃo / Developmento of Melipona subnitida colonies under confinement and evaluation of multiplication methods

Hiara Marques Meneses 04 February 2016 (has links)
In periods of food shortage in the field, the production of honey and colonies decreases leading to weakening and even loss of colonies. Therefore, the maintenance of stingless bee colonies this time of year is still an obstacle in the production chain of beekeeping and management strategies that enable the maintenance and strengthening of colonies in times of food shortage must be established as well as efficient techniques of colonies multiplication. This study aimed to test the development of colonies of Melipona subnitida under confinement in order to develop them quickly, protected from external environment and without exposure to predators. For this, thirteen colonies were used, eight of them submitted to confinement system (CC) without access to the field, with energy and protein supply (syrup of water with sugar and Apis mellifera pollen), while five remained with free access to field (CLA) and without dietary supplementation in order to be used as control. In addition, three different methods of multiplication of colonies were tested: with supply of protein food, but without inserting princesses (Method I); with insertion of princesses, but without supply of protein food (Method II); with supply of protein food and insertion of princesses (Method III). In the first experiment, cell production ranged from 1.7 to 6.2 cells / day, with an average of 4.24 1.59 cells / day in CC. In CLA, production ranged from 0.2 to 3 cells / day, averaging 1.76 1.18 cells / day, significantly differ between groups. At the end of the experiment, only the group of CC was able to get up to 4 brood combs, that is the strong colony level. In this group, 75% of the colonies reached the target of 4 brood combs, taking an average of 52.13 2.44 days. In relation to the median level colony (3 brood combs), the group of CC obtained 75% successful, while the group of CLA succeeded 60%. The average number of days needed to reach the goal of 3 brood combs was 37.88 3.56 and 31.25 0.51 for CC and CLA, respectively. However, the number of cells was one covariate that influenced the number of days until the conclusion of the third brood comb, averaging 174.5 28.01 cells in CC and 133 54.99 cells in CLA. Regarding multiplication methods colonies tested, the I method presented 83.3% successful, while the method II and III showed 9.8 and 14.3% successful, respectively. Therefore, it is concluded that the confinement technique proved to be very efficient in strengthening weak colonies, it may also be used for maintenance of colonies in the lean period. Thus, since the quantity and quality of food are adequate, the colonies are suitable for the multiplication phase. This multiplication without inserting princesses and with protein food supply is very effective, however, the princesses insertion technique is promising, need further study of the physiology and behavior of these insects to improve it.

Majetkové zajištění panovnic do počátku 14. století / Possession ensuring of the sovereigns up to early 14th century

Friedlová, Jitka January 2015 (has links)
The aim of this work is to complete property tenure of Czech princesses and queens until the beginning of the 14th century. In connection with queens talk we about "dowry towns" formation. Under this term arises idea of the continuity of the transfer of widow's property. To be able to make such a generalization, it is necessary to study the provision of property wives of rulers from the standpoint of the previous developments, especially on the basis of diplomatic material and subsequently of narrative sources. According to the interpretation of existing proofs of property possession by princesses an queens, it will be possible to determine, whether there was a tradition of transfer of certain goods, not only towns but also movable and immovable property, rights and pecuniary pays. Obtained facts put the work into context of legal anchoring marital and widow's status. It is differentiated for these two categories, whether tenure which the queens were endowed with was the dowry, jointure or purely personal property. Mutual comparison between property tenure of female sovereigns is focused on presentation of different approaches to management of property issues with a greater or lesser degree of initiative. Keywords: Princesses and queens, dowry, jointure, widow's status, location of possession,...

According to this, this dissertation tries to understand the the phenomenon of the charismatic domination of female religious leaders that use the media resources and which are the reason of this acceptance in a time that a revolution in gender relationships have been implemented mainly inside the religious field. In terms of research methodology, it was used a sociological analysis from videos available on their youtube channels, with the general goal to understand the acceptance of a conservative religious speech delivered by social medias. It was concluded that inside the liquid modernity proposed by Zygmunt Bauman, the agreement with the retrograde message, enunciated by two women by the media is accepted, because it proposes a kind of "confort", "safety" to the the ephemeral relations of this society. Contributing to interpret this religious phenomenon that makes pseudo female empowerment throught the binominal of modernity versus tradition.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power : Exploring Character Development and Queer Representation

Conrad, Emelie, Malmsten, Fanny January 2022 (has links)
In this thesis the animated tv series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power and the representation and the character development within it is researched and analyzed. In television and media, representation has a history of being narrow. But in 2018 the animated tv series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power came and showed how broad representation could be done, and how it can be done by creating characters who are allowed to develop. Our aim with the study was to study the character development and the representation, with a focus on queer identities and themes. With the series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power as a case, and through visual analysis and character analysis we approached our study and this subject. Our study resulted with the conclusion that queer representation does not have to be direct or in your face. With focus on the characters own developments, and letting them exist in a non-heteronormative world, they got to emerge as their own persons with complex identities which are not relying on their sexual orientation or gender identity. The show instead shows that it's possible to provide broad representation where everyone can exist in a world that does not abide by the norms that are found in real society. It also became clear that the series real aim was on the importance of friendship, love and acceptance, rather than the storyline which was a mere entertaining excuse for this deeper meaning.

From Snow White to Frozen : An evaluation of popular gender representation indicators applied to Disney’s princess films / Från Snövit till Frost : En utvärdering av populära könsrepresentations-indikatorer tillämpade på Disneys prinsessfilmer

Nyh, Johan January 2015 (has links)
Simple content analysis methods, such as the Bechdel test and measuring percentage of female talk time or characters, have seen a surge of attention from mainstream media and in social media the last couple of years. Underlying assumptions are generally shared with the gender role socialization model and consequently, an importance is stated, due to a high degree to which impressions from media shape in particular young children’s identification processes. For young girls, the Disney Princesses franchise (with Frozen included) stands out as the number one player commercially as well as in customer awareness. The vertical lineup of Disney princesses spans from the passive and domestic working Snow White in 1937 to independent and super-power wielding princess Elsa in 2013, which makes the line of films an optimal test subject in evaluating above-mentioned simple content analysis methods. As a control, a meta-study has been conducted on previous academic studies on the same range of films. The sampled research, within fields spanning from qualitative content analysis and semiotics to coded content analysis, all come to the same conclusions regarding the general changes over time in representations of female characters. The objective of this thesis is to answer whether or not there is a correlation between these changes and those indicated by the simple content analysis methods, i.e. whether or not the simple popular methods are in general coherence with the more intricate academic methods. /
Betyg VG (skala IG-VG)
