El presente trabajo de investigación analizará las variables determinantes y relacionadas en las exportaciones de espárragos congelados para la partida arancelaria 07.10.80.1000 de la Republica de Perú con destino al Estado del Japón, considerando como periodo de análisis de 2008 al 2018. La investigación toma relevancia desde el punto de vista del producto, considerando que el volumen exportado del esparrago fresco viene reduciéndose en los últimos años y a diferencia del esparrago congelado que viene ganando participación. Asimismo, el Estado de Japón resalta entre los demás mercados por el incremento sustancial para las importaciones de productos agroindustriales congelados. El presente trabajo tiene un enfoque cualitativo con una alcance descriptivo y explicativo bajo un diseño no experimental. Se establecieron dos variables principales para el presente trabajo de investigación, las medidas sanitaras y fitosanitarias y la competitividad. Dentro de las medidas sanitarias y fitosanitarias, el indicador con mayor relevancia son las exigencias del consumidor japonés, es decir el 37% de los entrevistados mencionan que el estándar del consumidor final es más riguroso para la aprobación de los productos a exportar. Dentro de la competitividad, el indicador con mayor relevancia es la calidad del producto, es decir el 32% de los entrevistados mencionan que el consumidor japonés por el estilo de vida que lleva y hábitos de consumo busca la practicidad y calidad de sus alimentos. En conclusión, la competitividad con un 62% es la variable determinante para el dinamismo de las exportaciones de espárragos congelados de Perú a Japón. Mientras que las medidas sanitarias y fitosanitarias con un 38% es un variable relacionada. / This research work will analyze the determining and related variables in exports of frozen asparagus for tariff heading 07.10.80.1000 from the Republic of Peru to the State of Japan, considering the period of analysis from 2008 to 2018. The research becomes relevant from the product point of view, considering that the exported volume of fresh asparagus has been decreasing in recent years and unlike frozen asparagus, which has been gaining share. Likewise, the State of Japan stands out among the other markets for the substantial increase in imports of frozen agro-industrial products. The present work has a qualitative approach with a descriptive and explanatory scope under a non-experimental design. Two main variables were established for the present research work, sanitary and phytosanitary measures and competitiveness. Within sanitary and phytosanitary measures, the most relevant indicator is the demands of the Japanese consumer, that is, 37% of those interviewed mention that the final consumer standard is more rigorous for the approval of products to be exported. Within competitiveness, the most relevant indicator is the quality of the product, that is, 32% of the interviewees mention that the Japanese consumer, due to the lifestyle they lead and consumption habits, seeks the practicality and quality of their food. In conclusion, competitiveness with 62% is the determining variable for the dynamism of exports of frozen asparagus from Peru to Japan. Masses kystiques latérales du cou : une analyse comparative des approches diagnostiquesTabet, Paul 08 1900 (has links)
Les masses kystiques latérales du cou (MKLC) bénignes et malignes sont difficiles à différencier
cliniquement. L’utilité des modalités d’imagerie et de prélèvement doit être clarifiée.
Une revue rétrospective de cas entre 2010 et 2016. Les données d’imagerie ont été récoltées et
plusieurs variables propres à la masse furent analysées. Les rapports de cytoponction à l’aiguille
fine (CAAF), de la biopsie au trocart (BT) et des examens extemporanés (EE) ont été analysés. La
sensibilité, la spécificité, la valeur prédictive positive (VPP) et la valeur prédictive négative (VPN)
pour prédire la malignité ont été calculées pour toutes les variables comparées entre les masses
kystiques bénignes et malignes.
Aucune variable d’imagerie n’a pu différencier les masses kystiques bénignes de malignes. La
sensibilité de la CAAF est plus basse que celle de la BT (59% vs 83%; p=0.036) et de l’EE (59% vs
93%; p=0.01). L’EE a une meilleure VPN que la CAAF (92% vs 40%; p<0.001) et que la BT (92% vs
50%; p=0.062). La VPP et la spécificité étaient similaires dans tous les groupes.
Les cliniciens ne peuvent pas se fier uniquement à l’imagerie pour différencier les masses
bénignes des masses malignes. Vu sa VPP adéquate (92%), la CAAF devrait être utilisée
initialement pour tous les patients avec une MKLC. Si la CAAF s’avère négative, la BT devrait être
utilisée vu sa meilleure sensibilité. Un examen extemporané devrait toujours suivre une BT
négative vu la faible VPN de la BT. Un résultat positif à l’une des trois modalités de prélèvement
indique la présence de malignité. / Benign and malignant lateral cystic neck masses (LCNM) are difficult to distinguish clinically. The
usefulness of imaging and sampling modalities in clarifying the diagnosis remains unclear.
Retrospective review of cases between 2010 and 2016. Imaging data was reviewed and the
variables pertaining to the mass were assessed including the following: size, nodal level, fat
stranding, extracapsular spread, calcifications, vascularity, necrosis and standardized uptake
value. Sampling reports of fine-needle aspiration (FNA), core-needle biopsy (CNB) and frozen
section (FS) were also assessed. Sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV) and
negative predictive value (NPV) for predicting malignancy were calculated for all variables and
compared between benign and malignant cystic neck masses.
Ultrasound was used in 47.2% and CT-Scan in 90.5% of patients. No variables on imaging could
definitely differentiate benign from malignant LCNM. FNA had a lower sensitivity then CNB (59%
vs 83%; p=0.036) and FS (59% vs 93%; p=0.01). FS had a better NPV when compared to FNA (92%
vs 40%; p<0.001) and CNB (92% vs 50%; p=0.062). Specificities and PPV were similar among all
groups.
Clinicians cannot rely on imaging to differentiate benign from malignant LCNM. Given its
adequate PPV (92%), FNA should be used initially on lateral cystic neck masses. Because of its
high sensitivity, CNB should be considered if FNA is not diagnostic of malignancy. FS should
always follow a CNB not indicative of malignancy, because of the low NPV. Any result diagnostic
of malignancy on either FNA, CNB or FS strongly indicates presence of malignancy.

The sentinel lymph node biopsy is part of recommended surgical staging guidelines in patients with early stages of cervical cancer. High success rates of bilateral detection of SLN are achieved in sites with adequate experience with this procedure. The sentinel lymph node biopsy without systematic pelvic lymph node dissection is currently considered inadequate procedure for stages IB to IIA of the disease. One of the benefits of sentinel lymph node detection is extensive histopathological examination using the ultrastaging protocol enabling detection of small metastases (i.e. micrometastases). At the moment, there is lack of evidence about oncological safety of sentinel lymph node biopsy which might replace systematic lymph node dissection in the future. Prognostic significance of micrometastases is also controversial due to the lack of data about their potential presence in non-sentinel lymph nodes in cases with negative sentinel lymph nodes. This dissertation deals with the concept of sentinel lymph node biopsy in the cervical cancer and focuses on several topics. We have shown that the presence of micrometastasis is associated with significant negative impact on patients' prognosis on the largest retrospective cohort of patients ever published. Ab initio lattice dynamics in LiNbO3 and LiTaO3Caciuc, Vasile 14 May 2001 (has links)
The ability of physics to provide an understanding of our Universe lies in the essential interrelation between experiment and theory. But physics does not provide us only reliable representations of the causes acting in nature. Its powerful experimental devices and theoretical methods are the underlying reason of the explosive technological development of our time.
LiNbO3 and LiTaO3 represent only one example of the essential impact of both experimental and theoretical investigations on their technological applications. Particularly, LiNbO3 has been the subject of many experimental studies due to its applications in electro-optic and integrated optical devices. Also, the doped LiNbO3 with rare-earth and transition metals could be used, for instance, as a material for tunable lasers.
The previous theoretical studies devoted to LiNbO3 and LiTaO3 focused on their electronic structure, being an attempt to understand the microscopic origin of the paraelectric-to-ferroelectric phase transition of these materials. The ab initio lattice dynamics investigations performed so far were mainly aimed to identify the role of the individual atoms vibrations in the energetic of the phase transition.
The lack of a reliable model for the zone-center lattice dynamics in these compounds motivated us to investigate this issue by means of ab initio frozen-phonon calculations. On the background of the obtained phonon frequencies and eigenvectors, we unambiguously identified all zone-center modes for LiNbO3 and the A1 ones for LiTaO3. Due to the above mentioned enlargement of the technological applications of LiNbO3 by doping with various ions, we focused on the analysis of the ground-state properties of this material when doped with Fe and Cr. Even if the theoretical approach used in our calculations is not predictive with respect to the optical properties of the physical systems in study, a certain insight on this problem could be gained from the analysis of the effect of the atomic positions relaxation on the impurities energy levels localized in the optical band gap.

Heat transfer process between polymer and cavity wall during injection moldingLiu, Yao 05 December 2014 (has links)
Injection molding is one of the most commonly applied processing methods for plastic components. Heat transfer coefficient (HTC), which describes the heat conducting ability of the interface between a polymer and cavity wall, significantly influences the temperature distribution of a polymer and mold during injection molding and thus affects the process and quality of plastic products. This thesis focuses on HTC under diverse processing situations.
On the basis of the heat conducting principle, a theoretical model for calculating HTC was presented. Injection mold specially used for measuring and calculating HTC was designed and fabricated. Experimental injection studies under different processing conditions, especially different surface roughness, were performed for acquiring necessary temperature data. The heat quantity across the interface and HTC between a polymer and cavity wall was calculated on the basis of experimental results. The influence of surface roughness on HTC during injection molding was investigated for the first time. The factors influencing the HTC
were analyzed on the basis of the factor weight during injection molding. Subsequently FEM (Finite element method) simulations were carried out with observed and preset value of HTC respectively and the relative crystallinity and part density were obtained. In the comparison between results from simulation and experiment, the result calculated with observed HTC shows better agreement with actually measured value, which can verify the reliability and precision of the injection molding simulation with observed HTC. The results of this thesis is beneficial for understanding the heat transfer process comprehensively, predicting
temperature distribution, arranging cooling system, reducing cycle time and improving precision of numerical simulation. / Das Spritzgießen ist eines der am häufigsten angewandten Verarbeitungsverfahren zur Herstellung von Kunststoffkomponenten. Der Wärmedurchgangskoeffizient (WDK), welcher den Wärmeübergang zwischen Kunststoff und Werkzeugwand beschreibt, beeinflusst während des Spritzgießens maßgeblich die Temperaturverteilung im Bauteil und dem Werkzeug und folglich den Prozess und die Qualität der Kunststoffprodukte. Der Inhalt dieser Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem WDK unter verschiedenen Prozessbedingungen. Auf Grundlage des Wärmeleitungsprinzips wurde ein theoretisches Modell für die Berechnung des WDK vorgestellt. Es wurde dazu ein Spritzgießwerkzeug konstruiert und hergestellt, welches Messungen zur späteren Berechnung des WDK ermöglicht. Praktische Spritzgießversuche unter verschiedenen Prozessbedingungen, insbesondere unterschiedlicher Oberflächenrauheit, wurden für die Erfassung der erforderlichen Temperaturdaten durchgeführt. Auf Grundlage der experimentellen Ergebnisse wurde der Wärmeübergang zwischen dem Polymer und der Werkzeugwand berechnet. Der Einfluss der Oberflächenrauhigkeit auf den WDK wurde hierbei zum ersten Mal untersucht. Auf Grundlage des Bauteilgewichtes wurden anschließend die Faktoren, die den WDK beeinflussen, berechnet. Des Weiteren wurden FEM-Simulationen (Finite Element Methode) mit dem gemessenen und dem voreingestellten WDK durchgeführt und daraus der Kristallinitätsgrad und die Bauteildichte gewonnen. Der Vergleich zwischen den realen Ergebnissen und der Simulation zeigt, dass die Berechnungen mit dem gemessenen WDK eine bessere Übereinstimmung mit den realen Werten aufweist, was die Zuverlässigkeit und Präzision der Spritzgusssimulation bestätigt. Die Ergebnisse dieser Arbeit tragen zum umfassenden Verständnis des Wärmeübergangs im Spritzgießprozess, zur Vorhersage der Temperaturverteilung, zur Auslegung des Kühlsystems, zur Reduzierung der Zykluszeit und zur Verbesserung der Genauigkeit der numerischen Simulation bei.

The Russian Playbook : Using History & Path Dependence to Analyse How Russia Operationalises Grand Strategy in Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova.Westbrook, Justine January 2023 (has links)
To predict and prevent future armed conflicts like Russia’s war against Georgia in 2008 and Ukraine in 2022, there is more value in knowing how these wars occurred rather than why they occurred. The Russian Playbook is built from three distinct “plays” employed by Moscow and organised in the theoretical framework of Historical Institutionalism through Path Dependence modelling. This research focuses on Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova as cases for comparison by building on the Soviet legacy in each state which forms the antecedent historical conditions of the Playbook’s Path Dependence. Where Play 1 focuses on offensive and defensive influence seeking as a form of structural persistence, Play 2’s shaping and weaponisation acts to counter reactive sequences. Both Plays function within path dependency’s punctuated equilibrium and appear consistently throughout Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova following the collapse of the Soviet Union. When Play 1 and Play 2 are overpowered by reactive sequences that cannot be countered, Moscow deems the disequilibrium as irremediable and the path towards conflict begins. Play 3 refers to the start of lock-in effects towards conflict, beginning with “pre-crisis” conditions. Play 3’s Lock-in Effectsserve as the period in which a predictable conflict outcome is likely to occur, though lock-in refers to the path adherence in preparation for future conflict. This Play occurs in both Georgia and Ukraine at the time of this research, though its future employment within Moldova should not be excluded. These actions, in the form of the Russian Playbook and its Plays act as a guide for operationalising and implementing Russia’s grand strategy. This research goes beyond individual figureheads of Russia or specific institutions and instead focuses on patterns that exist throughout historical cases. These patterns show there is nothing particularly “new” in how Russia operates despite the vast number of newly coined phrases including “hybrid” leading people to believe otherwise. Simple content analysis methods, such as the Bechdel test and measuring percentage of female talk time or characters, have seen a surge of attention from mainstream media and in social media the last couple of years. Underlying assumptions are generally shared with the gender role socialization model and consequently, an importance is stated, due to a high degree to which impressions from media shape in particular young children’s identification processes. For young girls, the Disney Princesses franchise (with Frozen included) stands out as the number one player commercially as well as in customer awareness. The vertical lineup of Disney princesses spans from the passive and domestic working Snow White in 1937 to independent and super-power wielding princess Elsa in 2013, which makes the line of films an optimal test subject in evaluating above-mentioned simple content analysis methods. As a control, a meta-study has been conducted on previous academic studies on the same range of films. The sampled research, within fields spanning from qualitative content analysis and semiotics to coded content analysis, all come to the same conclusions regarding the general changes over time in representations of female characters. The objective of this thesis is to answer whether or not there is a correlation between these changes and those indicated by the simple content analysis methods, i.e. whether or not the simple popular methods are in general coherence with the more intricate academic methods. / <p>Betyg VG (skala IG-VG)</p>
